What does it mean when people look down in the hallways when I pass them?

I'm really muscular, but not to the point of being gross, I'm 5'9". I have a kind face, usually smiling. People tend to look down as they pass me like their shy or scared and I don't know why. I'm not a mean person either and am relatively attractive.

I am a person who usually look ahead.. if I look down it means I am probably shy (which doesn't happen often). Maybe you are just attractive.

It can be due to that you are quite muscular (which I find intimidating), but that usually won't make me look down, rather I would just look at a different direction.

Most people don't keep eye contact for starters in passing. Imagine trying to make eye contact with every person you pass walking down Times Square, it would be exhausting. Most people don't even bother

Right but most people would simply look away. Lots of people stare at their shoes as I pass.

I tend to look down when I walk, I'm not afraid or submissive to everyone on the planet. I'm simply not interested in having the awkward eye contact with a stranger. Or if I look ahead I purposefully do not meet people's eyes
