What does it mean when a girl looks down whenever she comes across you?

There’s this girl I have a crush on at work. She works at a different department and we’ve never exchanged words. Like when I’m far away and walking in, she looks at me and looks away and looks at me again. Im such a wussy to say hi to her but my mind tells me to approach her.

Today, she did it again this morning and as soon as I got close to her, she was walking towards me and looked down. She never does this with our other coworkers. Am I intimidating to Her? I wish she would say hi or good morning so I can strike a conversation.

Does she smile when you make that first eye contact, even a little? And when you do make eye contact or pass close by, is her expression blank or do her eyes look sad or is there a spark?

She’s only smiled once when we’ve made eye contact. Yesterday when I stated she looked down when I was passing her, she did look nervous that I was there. She’s always looking up when I see her from far away too

I just wonder if she's painfully shy. I suggest saying, "Good morning," to her next time you pass, even if you have to say it to the top of her head. If she's shy, it might scare her initially, but hopefully then she'll see you're harmless. Wish there were a mutual acquaintance you could ask about her!
