What does it mean when a guy looks down when walking by a girl he used to like?

so I noticed that whenever I walk by the guy I at least used to like he looks down. I am almost positive that he used to like me back but not sure his feels now but probably moved on by now. I noticed him do this twice already though.

usually it means (if he used to like the girl) that he found out she has a boyfriend, found out something about her or something else thats stopping him from being with her so whenever they cross paths the guy will look down or to the side because he is not interested anymore

well ik he has always been shy around me and i recently had a boyfriend but I don't know how he would've found out other than wearing my exs hoodie still

most guys are not like girls in this regards, girls will stare a guy in the eyes, check him out and give him all sorts of signs they like him even if they have a boyfriend, guys are more straight forward if he can't get you he moves on and finds another girl, you have a boyfriend why would you want another guy to give you attention?
