What does it mean when a guy stares like this?

Okay, so there is a guy that I have known for about three years. We are acquaintances, but not exactly friends. Lately I have been noticing that he glances and stares at me all the time and when I look at him he turns his head as if he wasn't staring at all.

I notice that he stares at me from down the hallway or from across the room, but he rarely talks to me unless I say Hello, or something like that.

Here is the kicker, the other day when he asked me do something for him I responded with a wide smile and "Okay" was all I did and his blank face suddenly changed. His eyebrows raised, his eyes had a sparkle in them, and his mouth opened. He looked me in my eyes as if in a trance.

So what does it mean when a guy looks at you constantly and looks away when you catch him, AAAAND do guys who like you look at you as though they are astounded or in the amazed way he did? Thanks for the help (oh and I have the biggest crush on him ever)

Lol. My friends are going to think this is my question. I was in a very similar situation at one point.

You, my dear, just witnessed the classic "Deer in the Headlights" expression. He's interested in and captivated by you. You know that moment in the movies where the guy sees the girl walking in slow motion and the "sexy" music plays while his jaw drops and his mouth goes dry? That's only partially exaggerated. Think Thumper/Bambi getting "twitterpated". Sigh. The poor slob doesn't have a chance. I hope -- for HIS sake -- that you like him enough to put him out of his misery and go out with him! You've probably got his blood boiling.

If you DON'T like him, respect him enough to step away and keep your distance.

"I have the biggest crush on him ever" sort of tells me how the story will end. Lucky Thumper...

thanks for your comment dishlady. I hope that it will work out for us. He is very shy and I know I will have to make the first move, it is just getting there lol

It won't take much from the looks of it. Just smile the next time you get that look out of him, ask him what he's doing later and when he says "Huh?" or "What?" like he can't process what you're saying, just be patient with the guy and repeat yourself. (I always think that's the cutest thing to witness.) Enjoy!

He likes you, and he wants you lol.

Heres how you can find out.

Ask him face to face or text him, "How do you feel about me, could you ever see us being more than just friends ?" and ask him to answer truthfully.

Or you can just flat out tell him you like him :D

Either way, you don't want to be the girl that looks back on her life 20 years from now and wonder "What if ?". Life is too short, so make the most.

Thanks Dan for your comment. I am right there with you I wish I could say something, but unfortunately we work together in an zero tolerance fraternization policy company. I am holding out until I quit, hopefully we will both be available still lol.

I am in this situation, he might wait for a sign. I stare at her a lot because of my shyness and lack of experience with girls. I am really in awe for her and if I think it is not the right time then I look away, as if I don't deserve her.

Make him comfortable, you don't have to take the first step but male sure you show him he can.
