I say this probably every week on GAG (at least once), but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The word "Attractive" is subjective. Yes, there are always exceptions (as Kim Kardashian is considered attractive by almost everyone and a deformed person is considered ugly by almost everyone.) However, For an overwhelming majority of people, being attractive really is an opinion.

With this being said, I don't thin attractive people "flock" together. I consider myself attractive and one of my best friends in high school was one of the most unattractive people I've seen (Just brutal honesty here), and I've also seen many girls I find gorgeous with unattractive friends. I don't notice anything but we probably have differing opinions on "attractiveness" anyway.

I think those who are superficial or fail to illuminate through other means than their body, are seeking other attractive people consciously.

But people who are focused on other things, would not mind having less attractive friends because it doesn't matter to them.

I have a friend who is a 10/10 (male stripper so...) and he doesn't care. He doesn't seek the company of other male friends who are really good looking. It's more about who can you have a blast with.

However I have to admit that life can be easier when you are with someone similar to you because they face life the same way you do so they are more likely to understand you sometimes.

Yes and no... I would like to think that I'm attractive and I'm not going to lie I do have attractive friends. But I also have friends that aren't so attractive and I could care less.

But if anything shallow girls are more known to hang around less attractive girls so they can stand out. Girls that hang around other attractive girls I think has more to do with popularity and cliques.

Kinda... Although I think people with similar core interests stick together.
I've seen many groups of girls who look amazing from afar and then you look at them individually and get to understand they're average or below average looking - it's the cheerleader effect.

yes there are definitely girls who pick their friends on the basis of how they look. it's stupid af if you ask me, they are never gonna experience what real friendship is like if that matters to them more than the person inside

I've got tons of attractive friends but I didn't befriend them because they are good looking, but because they are good and folks.

I've seen this a lot around me. Maybe because generally, people are intimidated by attractive people so they avoid being friends with them. So the attractive group have to stay within their own.

It's been proven people generally become friends with people with the same physical attractiveness as them. It's normal for that to happen. It's not something everyone consciously thinks of when picking friends.

I never see sports and musician people mingling around with an average jane. It tends to be hot girls that are models or tv presenters.

@abundantlyrich I agree with this but I don't necessarily think supermodels, strippers or rich socialites are attractive. I've seen MANY models and strippers look nasty, and Paris Hilton is one of the most unattractive women I've seen (and she's a rich socialite.) I've seen other examples too.

I think what you mean to say is people with a high social status mingle with others with a high social status.
