Is it inappropriate to make out in a park?

Okay, story time. I was out with my boyfriend today, and we were in a public park. Admittedly, everyone walks around there, but we were on one side of a hill that you wouldn't EXPECT people to be walking on. (there were a couple people who did, but not a huge amount!) I was lying on top of him and we were kissing and I was playing with his hair and stuff. Then these two official-y people come over and tell us that it's a bit inappropriate cause there are kids around. There were a couple kids, I suppose, but not really where we were. Obviously we stopped, but the thing is, I'm guessing someone complained or something, cause there's no way they saw us kissing- they came from the other freaking side of the hill!! Is it really that inappropriate to be kissing in a park? I mean if we'd been more than kissing- difficult, under the circumstances!- then I would get it, but we were literally just kissing. What are people's thoughts? Would it make you uncomfortable to see people making out in a park? Thanks in advance for opinions! :)

I'd say that it's inappropriate, yeah. Some PDA is fine, but you need to keep it family friendly :P I think that holding hands and hugging and some brief kissing is fine, but lying on top of someone and making out with them isn't really something families walking with their kids want to see.

Haha, fair enough I guess :) I dunno, I didn't think it was that bad- it wasn't like it was anything more than kissing, but I guess I see how it could be seen that way haha :)

Ok well just kissing isn't inappropriate just as long as you don't go over board or anything but honestly I would feel a little uncomfortable but just because of my own reason

umm, difficult.. i would ignore and walk on rather than complain else they would think i was watching
