... I dont really do horror as a genre. I find the genre to be repetitive, boring and too prone to half arsed jump scares.
There are a lot of individual 'horror' films I really like though, like Dark Water (the origional not the shitty us remake), John Carpenter's The Thing, Whicker man (origional again), The Reanimator, Ringu, Evil Dead (again origionals), Invasion of the body snatchers, Alien (probably the single most perfect movie ever made), and a whole host of other... sort-of-horror movies.

I like watching it, because it's exciting and thrilling. But after I'm done watching it, everything makes me paranoid. It makes me even more tense if it was based on a true story. Then I'm scared and have trouble going to sleep.

I suppose if you're not scared of horror movies, the producer is either not doing his job properly, or you have become so calloused to that particular genre that you see the macabre content as normal, which is a scarier concept to me than actually watching the horror movie...
