Meh both of these bring in the nature vs. nurture and fml if i have to debate that shit again. I always love how pop culture becomes so involved in something they really shouldn't be sticking their nose in, placing bullshit info in pictures like this. No offence sally. Sociopath hasn't been around for a long time and only recently have they begun to actually define one. It was so close to psychopath before that Sociopath was simply the updated term for psychopath. Now it seems society really is getting involved in this. And i will tell you something... having complete morons begin to judge people by the way they act based on a few pictures and infographics is a huge problem. At least i have encountered this. It means they are attempting to diagnose someone without any professional consequence. You may think... well why would either one of these individuals care? Well, i will tell you. Because a majority of those who are psychopathic are not 100% so. In reality there is no such thing as a pure psychopath. That's just dumb stuff made by hollywood from the film silence of the lambs. If you google how to spot a psychopath they are going to give you a list of interactions in which to judge the individual by... again bullshit. Gahhh... im done.

I think i meet the child version, soon to be psycho path kids while i lived in vancouver island. He bragged about slitting stray cats tails, legs, extra and pouring salt on the cuts. This was in grade 8. Kinda reminds me of dexter, but at least dexter killed the animals, he just tortures them for entertainment.

Bc those percentages are 1% and 4%... and, well, most of us meet a lot more than 100 people in our lives. LOL

1+4 = 5, thus, we'd expect 5% of everyone we meet to fit these profiles.

Dunno bout you, but, 5% of everyone I've met in my life is easily thousands of people, if not tens of thousands.

Incidentally, my man squares pretty well with the sociopath list... but, for some reason, God smiled on me enough to make me & our kids the "individuals to which... form an attachment".

Yes, I lived next door to a diagnosed sociopath for about 13 years. It was pure hell, and my family still suffers from his impulsive criminal activity to this day. You either got along with him or were continually harassed by him. There was no middle ground. He was unable to just live peacefully next to anyone without interacting with them in some way.

That's the only former criminal I've ever met. Was my boss at a previous employer. Had been in jail for 5 years for dealing, than built up his life again in a more responsible way :D

Yes, went to Hawaii with him and some family / friends he ended up getting wasted in a bar and tried to smash a beer bottle of a random strangers head. Ended up stopping him, getting kicked out of the club by the bouncers. Saved his ass from getting beat by local gang members. Only to have him choke out and beat his girlfriend at the end of the night. Wish I let him get beat instead honestly.

I'm see of a little of both in me doctors told me I was crazy then gave me pills that I don't take. I try to control my behavior in public. I have fits of rage nd sometimes I'm spontaneous.
