Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYeah you're racist. Racist say "I'm not attracted to women". Non racists say "I don't know I've just never met a women that I've found attractive but I guess it's possible". Smart people say " isn't a real thing. Human genetics is clinal and you'll never find a set of genes that can be used to actually define the differences between these so called racist. It was mostly just a very poorly crafted concept created to explain the differences travelers noticed. But since people until today could only see a select few culutures in a lifetime they had no clue just how blended people actually are. So I'm pretty sure I've been attracted to someone with genes commonly associated with people and just didn't know"

Opinion Owner+1 yOkay so apparently when you put brackets around something and right insert race inside of them GAG just deletes it. So pretty much anytime I said women or people imagine that I wrote "insert race" in front of it.
Opinion Owner+1 yF me so many typos. Dude just don't read this. This whole post is just garbage now

Pretty sure there's a fine line between black people, and east Asians. -.-

@ElissaDido Yeah.
+1 yI've said it once and I'll say it again: if you state that you aren't attracted to an ENTIRE ethnicity at all, you have some racial bias. Not all Asian women have the exact same features, there are some with bigger eyes, some with small eyes. I just find it hard to believe that you've never ever found one attractive.

It's not a matter of racist it's a matter of if you're blind or not. Whether racist or not you can't deny these and some other Asian women are objectively beautiful. You can''t deny that others find them to be gorgeous.
- +1 y
Nope sorry, I mean I can see why other people would like them, I dunno I think it's their eyes :/ the top pic looks nice I guess.
- +1 y
Huh? In my opinion no, however I am not denying that others would find them attractive I never made that claim.
- +1 y
Ok, so they at least would be objectively beautiful.
Asians eyes are one of their most beautiful features.
Hating an entire group of people for physical/racial characteristics they cannot control is in fact racist. It's not that I care if you are a racist but it's more respectable if you're honest about it with yourself and others. - +1 y
" Hating an entire group of people for physical/racial characteristics they cannot control is in fact racist" Yes that would be correct, I never claimed that I hated them for it I just stated that I don't find those features to be physically attractive to me.
- +1 y
Oh and as for their eyes being one of their most beautiful features, beauty is subjective in the eye of the beholder yes?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNot being attracted to a certain race does not make you racist. This trend of hanging hateful labels on everything people do has got to stop.

Intelligence is not quantified by an involuntary attraction regarding specific RACE, smartass.
- +1 y
@chintita 😂😂😂 I can't with u
- +1 y
Like I said, a person's intelligence can't be determined by who they're attracted to. Implying it can is to say that they CHOSE not to be attracted to those women, which is downright idiotic. Sexual preference is not a decision.
- +1 y
@JjingJiingl does make a point. The correct wording should have been " it's not racist, just really disadvantageous" Haha I wouldn't have even bothered correcting her, thanks for the effort :)
+1 yIt's not racist, you just simply don't like their facial features.
It happens to me too. I REALLY like big eyes, that's one of the things I look for in a girl, and Asians don't have that. Also the noses aren't really my type.
I do find some Asian girls attractive, but not often.10 ReplyI think there's a difference between not having found any Asian women attractive yet and refusing to acknowledge any Asian woman as attractive. There are plenty of people that I can objectively call attractive but at the same time would not feel attracted to them personally.
40 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. To deny a person based solely on racial and ethnic identity, without getting to know them, is racist. More so you are denying a whole race. It's just that so many follow the so called 'racial preferences' that this type of racism Is somewhat more accepted vs others
Blonde vs brunette is a preference
Glasses vs no glasses
Shaved head vs hair
Tall vs short
But NOT part of preferences are
Black vs white
Asian eyes vs not
A certain race is not attractive114 Reply- +1 y
Still not sure if I agree 100 % I mean if a group of people can be classed as a " race" by society due to sharing certain physical features then surely one can not like those specific features as an aesthetic judgement without being a bad person.
- +1 y
No because the first examples examples can be changed, and tall vs short is not racial discrimination. You can say someone can't go on a ride because they are too short. But you can't say because they are black they can't ride the ride. Same as saying you can't work here because you have tattoos or your hair is not a professional look. But you can't say your not allowed to work here because you are chinese. See the difference?
The second list can't be changed and it generally implies you are talking about the whole race. Which means you are isolating a whole race based on ethnic attributes that are specfic to a large population of that race, by default excluding almost all of them --> that implies they are inferior to the race you prefer --> which falls in line with the definition of racism - +1 y
" implies they are inferior to the race I prefer" Yes from my personal aesthetic standpoint that would be correct, I don't hate them though. I don't believe I speak for everyone and I know that many other people find them attractive.
- +1 y
"that implies they are inferior to the race you prefer --> which falls in line with the definition of racism"
That logic only makes sense if you equate physical beauty to human worth. Racism is when you deem one race as superior to another in terms of value. - +1 y
Not human worth, in the sense that I wouldn't necessarily look at a hot guy and say "Wow, he must be a great person. Bet his life matters more than everyone elses."
- +1 y
Well, I suppose you could say a person is an aesthetic racist, then.
- +1 y
@JjingJiingI you can sure... it's all just different forms of discrimination and racism. You can slice it up however you prefer but at the end of the day its discrimintion based on race specific attributes. I do understand its our personal right to choose what we want close to us or around us. Nevertheless it doesn't change the core of what is happening, which is a form of discrimination.
The question really comes down to, is it ok to have that right or not? What do you think?
- +1 y
Well, if it means being selective about who injects their semen into your eggs, then of course. :/
- +1 y
@JjingJiingI As someone who does art myself and who is interested in aesthetics I believe we have the right to judge beauty and form our own aesthetic tastes without being labelled " racist" which has hateful connotations. Hate has nothing to do with it.
- +1 y
Sorry last question was directed at the opinion owner :(

+1 yYou do realise Asia is a continent?
conceptdraw.com/.../Continent-Maps-Map-of-Asia.png50 ReplyIt is a form of racism, yes. It's the kind that falls under personal preference and so most people will not blink an eye about it, but it is still racism.
113 Reply- +1 y
Huh I'm talking about when it comes to intimate relationships. There has to be physical attraction to get the spark lit, correct? How is it racist when I have no control over who I am attracted to?
- +1 y
You don't have control over sexual orientation when it comes to attraction, but over what race you're attracted to? Yeah, you do have some control. It's exposure. It's experience. Attraction changes throughout your life.
That being said, you're not racist like the type that treats groups of people badly and denies their rights/insults them. So that's good, and that's a bigger deal. You just have a preference that has racist undertones. It doesn't make you evil since you don't harm people directly. It is what it is. A lot of people automatically think racism is like KKK and segregation and blackface. It's not just that, it can be more subtle. - +1 y
I get what your saying and that's why I asked this question. Maybe my attractions could change throughout my life true I'll give you that. Again it's an aesthetic judgment. It's no different then liking realism over cubism the only difference is peoples feelings are involved. I get the sense that I'm suppose to just say that every race is beautiful in case I hurt someone. It's not hate it's personal tastes and honesty.
- +1 y
"You do have some control."
No, you don't; unless you have the money to travel around the world and live in a land long enough to change your preferences; but even the malleability of that would vary from person to person.
As for racism, this guy isn't a racist. Racism is defined as finding one race superior/inferior to another. So, unless you're going to convince yourself that beauty is synonymous to human worth, it's not racism. - +1 y
@JjingJiingI Do you live in a country outside of the US, Canada, UK, Australia? You have much more control on a multicultural society because exposure isn't expensive. It's usually a choice. And it's okay to choose to stick to a particular race you're comfortable with. I didn't say it was horribly wrong. It is a subtle form of racism, yes. But it's minor on an individual level. Control isn't 100% but there is control there, it's what a person want. Preferences are LARGELY influenced by environment and experience. Think of our racist past, what were preferences then? Their genes were not different. It was their environment. What was legal and socially acceptable. What was viewed as superior/inferior. And what are preferences now? Diversifying. Even as a person grows older, tastes change. We may not like how older men and women look, but when we grow older we probably will.
I didn't say this guy is a racist. I said racial preference is a form of racism though a rather insignificant form - +1 y
@Asker yeah, I would say just own it and live. You may change, but you don't have to go out of your way to make change now if you don't want it. Your dating life affects you above all, not anyone else. It isn't hate. Racism isn't always hate. Am I sexist for keeping my distance from unfamiliar men when I am walking home at night? Yes! Is it hate? No.
- +1 y
Yes, I live in the UK, and this area is multicultural as ever. Less whites than anything. In all honesty and irony, I've noticed that my exposure to the huge pakistani demographic has only decreased my attraction to them. So, it can work both ways.. I suppose I'm just sick of seeing the same thing that I see in the mirror. A bent nose.
- +1 y
Ok yes I will agree that it could be seen as a subtle form of racism " aesthetic racism" if you will. My point is I think we have the right to make aesthetic judgements based on race as it does not come from a place of hate. And yes while it could be described as " racist" I would shy away from that word as it has negative connotations and is associated with hateful people.
- +1 y
I only said it because you asked, I wouldn't ever go up to someone on my own and tell them its racism and I wouldn't label you a racist. Thats how subtle it is. You might wonder why point it out at all then if it's subtle... well its just because we have a lot of that in society nowadays and so collectively there are disparities which suck for some ethnicities and are wonderful for others. But, at the end of the day, individuals have rights to love and look at what and who they please.
- +1 y
No, I'm an arab who doesn't like bent nasal bridges, pointed nostrils, and hooked dipping septums. Something arabs, kurdish/turkish, and south Asians have. Many of which live in my area. In all honesty, I've lived here for years; and if anything my distaste towards their appearance has only increased.
- +1 y
yes, I agree. I've always interpreted racism as strictly being about their value (overall) as an individual.
- +1 y
@JjingJiingI Do you feel suffocated by your culture a bit or maybe embarrassed by it based on what people say and what you see on the news? By muslim culture in general? I think that's a somewhat normal response... a young person stuck between cultures, looking at people of their own culture (or similar cultures) differently based on their experiences. Some call it self hate. It may be a phase considering your age. It's like how diehard atheists are so bitter against religion. It's not purely objective, there's a passionate emotional and experience-based aspect. None of the distaste is genetic.
+1 yIts not racist unless you are rude or mean to Asian women due to not finding them attractive. you're not required to be attracted to someone, theyll live
10 ReplyNah I don't think you're really 'racist' for that. Everyone has preferences when it comes to physical attraction, it's not something you can help.
