I'm not exactly sure if the term "gold digger" strictly applies to women. But I'll give some similar phrases for both my and your amusement.

like my parents, my father planned to marry my mother to get my grandfathers money (everyone knew my grandfather was rich), but he knew that my father was evil so he wouldn't allow them to marry, so my father impregnated my mother with me and he was forced to allow it, but then made sure my father couldn't get his money, so he used my mother's dental profession to make millions for him.. which all went to his pocket.

he even had plans for the next 20 years since then which involved me and my brother, but after we intentionally got expelled from our college of dentistry his plan went in shambles

and while i do agree that its really bad to demonize your parents, my father is the sole exception, he's literally Satan's hell-spawn.

I would call it gold digger too.
But contrary to other answers I know that there are male gold digger too. But most times they are different. Like going after old rich females in the hope they will die fast so they can inherit her wealth. There are/were some cases in my area.

I don't think boys CAN be gold-diggers since even if a woman is wealthy if she hasn't earned the wealth, she doesn't really take most of her wealth with her when she gets married
