They certainly do exist, but are they as common as women? Nah. Why? I'll tell you.
Men who are these 'gold diggers' are usually the types who've been enabled by women almost all their lives, starting with their moms and maybe even their other female relatives. As they grow older they even begin to learn how to use women they have sex with to pay for their stuff or 'take care of them.' So these men will always expect this from women, or at least try to make it happen that way. These are also the types of men who only want to date older women so they can be a 'sugarmama' and take care of him, which some of these older women don't mind. Keep in mind these guys are not true cougar lovers like the rest of us, who actually like older women for who they are and how they are after gaining life experience. These guys just want another dollar from them.
Apart from them, most men generally still have the incentive to work, go to school, and make their own money. Women are still more inclined to work, go to school, make their own money, but also want to enjoy another man's money. Or not even work for it at all.
So can a man be a gold digger? Yes. Is it as common as women gold diggers? I don't think it's even close.
men gold diggers are more common than you think. But 98% of them tend to be poor men. I work around lots of poor guys, there is no shortage of them never wanting to work for the rest of their lives, play video games all day, get free sex, talk about driving luxury cars, alcohol. But they keep it to themselves because they know that men are supposed to be providers by society and that a rich woman would never pay any attention to him.

I am surprised by some of the opinions here who claim men are rarely gold digger. I know so many men who use women for money. I really don’t understand what is so difficult for men to admit this shit. Either they are really clueless about it or pretend like it never happens. For God’s sake, men use women for money just as much as women. Why do you think they prefer to date women with a good job rather than a girl who works at the retail stores or fast food restaurants?
I can take my friends, cousins and co-workers as an example. I have seen how their ex boyfriend/husbands and partners leech them off and a few ended up owing the banks a large amount of money because of these scumbags. One of them was declared as bankrupt to the point where she couldn’t even loan herself a cheap car. What the fuck is wrong with men on this site?
Gold Digger is an insult and just because that insult is used on women more doesn't mean it's exclusive to women. If a man is dating someone for their money, they are a gold digger. This is regardless of sexuality, gender, race, whatever. ANYONE can be a gold digger.

yeah but it's not exactly the same thing because a huge percentage of women who a man would be happy to be with, are only considered gold diggers if they betray him. Because men have low (er) expectations for women. He doesn't expect her to be the main provider/earner, right? In fact most women only want to date/marry up or to at least get a guy who has the potential to raise her social/economic status.
You as a woman have to go against 100k years of human culture to think it's a good idea to get with a dude who is happy to live off of you. You'd probably only do that because you SUCK at getting quality guys to take you seriously even tho you would kid yourself into thinking it's because you're so kind and loving that you can look past the guy being a loser.
A guy could get with a gold digger simply because he is hooked on vagina/looks. That's not unnatural for males. Women thinking life is all about penis is unnatural for them.. probably because it was very foolish for a woman to not find a good husband for most of human history. Today women have the freedom to make dumb decisions tho. And no, I'm not saying I think a guy being hooked on vagina is ideal for men either but the math works out for guys more easily than for women. Especially since 99% women don't even care how many past partners a man has had. The reverse ain't true.
Yup. Super uncommon but I've known some guys with working girlfriends who are kinda useless at home and refuse to get a job. I've known a case or two where he's trying to keep his Halo scores up because he's sure he'll become a sponsored Twitch and Youtube streamer, and then doesn't get a job in the interim because "it'll interfere with his skills". Like FFS if you're getting into any field that relies purely on luck, you had better be running on a backup plan in the meantime.
But yeah, it's definitely the minority. As Beth Sanchez would put it "He's not a hot girl. He can't just bail on his life and set up shop in someone else's."

The Most common scenario where a man is using a woman for money is a bum who lives with his girlfriend who is paying for everything. But in that case he didn't get with her for her money.

There are actually A LOT of men gold diggers. But the reason why it happens less often is because women are significantly less likely to "marry down" compared to men. Men are much more willing to date broke women which is why they complain about gold diggers so much. Another reality is that men are much more likely to date gold diggers because they are much more willing to pay for a woman than it is for a woman to pay for a man.
I work around a lot of broke guys, and trust me, there is no shortage of broke men who need a sugar mama. Most of these guys have jobs and would love to sit at home , play video games all day, and get free sex.
I got some sad news for a lot of you. Get ready for this dynamic to flip. In the last 30 or so years MORE women than men are moving into professional positions. Physicians, attorneys, and business executives. Men generally are moving into more blue-collar work. I wish I had the time to give example after example how this has changed Male/Female relationships. I'm in my mid-60s. I have taken the position I am going to spend my remaining years eating popcorn and watching people go ape shit crazy as these things flip. Can a man be a gold digger?

It’s happens but it’s much less rare for the following reasons:
1. It’s much harder for a man to fake attraction both outwardly and especially in bed. He needs to be one of a full time actor to pull this off
2. Men are EXPECTED to be independent and the breadwinners. Even women are making a lot more money these and men are falling behind in higher education there is still a “man up” expectation. Most men can’t live with themselves if they feel like a freeloader
3. Generally women in dating. Why do they need to “pay” for a boyfriend or husband. I guess if they are really that visually oriented than maybe if the guys is that attractive. But most women aren’t content with just that.
Yes, I have known some, usually, they are very attractive and bad boy type. They take money for gas, rent, or other stuff from their girlfriends and dump them later. I guess those are the perks of being good-looking, I never got a single piece of candy from a girl😅.
Wow totally garbage guys. I've just finished reading more about those users. Unlike the simple players that leave after sex, they don't stop at just sex. They get both sex and money, along with lying to the girlfriend about loving her.

One guy friend of mine is a player, he started dating a girl while already having two girlfriends and he was saying he was keeping the third one as she always comes with home-cooked food for him. That time I used to think of those as wrong and told him to terminate the relationship with that girl as she was really innocent and nice, but now I am indifferent. Over the years I have seen women only like those types of guys more.
I've seen it happened, this older guy was married, had a bunch of kids but then started cheating on his wife, with someone a little younger who happened to be very well off, so he left his wife to be with her for her money. Then when he used all her money up, he moved on to someone else with money too.

Normally, it is not a girl's money that I'm after but, if in the extremely unlikely event, she is fabulously wealthy, I might be. Typically, a guy is not after a girl's money because, even if she has more money, the difference is not great. There are very few extremely wealthy women (less than 1%). Therefore, it is rare for a man even have to opportunity.
