Why is it that men create life, while we women bear it?

The sperm (seed) from the male forms the baby and determines the gender in an egg. the gg is the shell and has 23 chromosomes, cells from women, gives it to sperm while the sperm is inside the egg shell and after that the sperm forms the baby and determines the gender in other words the sperm creates the baby. While we women must wait and push the baby out.

If you truly believe that God gave... then all we are left with is guessing at God's reasons. Whose to say that my guess at the reason is any better or worse than anyone else's?

I don't believe this is exactly true. I don't believe one is any better than the other. I do believe we depend on each other for humanity to exist. Yes the sperm determines the gender, but there is a reason we shoot off billions of these guys, and the woman only lays one precious egg at a time. Also, everything revolves around that egg being in the safest environment and getting the correct and strongest DNA from the male sperm, hence we flood the area with our boys to try and survive the gauntlet and hopefully get to the egg in time and not be rejected. Trust me, you're devaluing yourself as a woman way too much.

The woman produces the egg, the man produces the sperm. The sperm actually doesn't "create the baby"; it simply provides DNA to the egg, the egg then takes over. It's the egg that does the main job with its DNA & the DNA of the sperm.

The man has to fertilize the egg, but the woman has to receive the sperm. Yes, a man can rape a woman, but a woman can also rape a man (and thus steal his sperm from him).

Fertilization is equal.

It's then women who transform the zygote into a living breathing human being.

Add 23 and 23 together, and you get one 46-chromosome-containing fertilized egg that can now develop into a new human. Of course we need a sperm to come into the egg, but the baby doesn't develop using only the sperm... There needs to be both, it's not just about the sperm or just about the egg. This is basic 9th grade biology right here...

Gen 3:20 also names Eve "the Mother of All Living" whereas Adam got no such name.

If you look at it from an evolutionary standpoint... Well maybe not so much evolutionary as just ancestral history. Men are naturally stronger, and generally the hunters of the group. Women would gather, do more work in camp, prepare food. If the strongest/fastest people were forced to carry a child, everyone might go hungry, or there would be a lot of miscarriages if they're trying to hunt while pregnant.

@mistixs Women might as well have been considered disabled for multiple months while pregnant. On top of that it's better for the child to not stress the body. It's a much easier for women now, but in the past men's apptitude for labor and protection could be considered just as critical to the reproduction on continuity of our species.
