What do you think of an ethnic minority 'Uyghur' in China? Are they interesting?

They speak a Turkic language similar to Uzbeks. Uyghurs are Muslims who lives primarily in Xinjiang province in China. There are around 10 million Uyghur. I heard a lot of people says they are very charming to foreigners which is really cool to hear.

Im aware that there is tension going on between the Uyghurs and government of China. I know that Uyghur wants to have their own country called Turkistan. Lets hope the conflict is resolved.

Yes. Another minority group that I find interesting is the Ainu in Japan.

Indeed. They were originally from Mongolia, they definitely had some European traits. Uyghurs had interact with many other ethnic groups on the Silk Road. Uyghur is definitely admixture.
