Is 5'8 or 175 cm tall enough?

Hi. I've recently been hearing a lot of complaints about how height is important. My dad is 170cm, so I don't expect to grow very much. My growth is verrrrry slow, but that's also a good thing because everyone in my grade stopped growing already. I'm still growing a bit. Currently, I'm 175. If I stopped growing right now, would 175cm be good enough?

In terms of body proportions -- and, specifically, the ability to develop an aesthetically perfect, fitness-model type physique -- yr current height is in the perfect range.

Guys' proportions are most aesthetic -- and, all around, just most *beautiful* -- when they're in the range of approximately 5'7" to 5'11".
It's no coincidence that basically ALL male fitness models -- and basically ALL male Hollywood body doubles -- are in this height range.

Soooo... Yeah. Work on yr body. Make it perfect.
... Which you should do anyway (because fuck yeah!), but, if you end up around 5'9"-5'11", you'll be able to make yr body even more perfect than other "perfect" boy bodies.

The average 15-year-old still has 2-3.5 inches left to grow (from his 15th birthday).

The average 16-year-old still has 1-2 inches of growth left (from his 16th birthday).

So... Srsly. There probably isn't a single kid in yr entire class who's actually done growing yet. Much less *all* of them.

^^ those numbers are for boys. (The GIRLS in yr class are probably within an inch or less of their adult heights, for the most part.)

I go to a school full of Asians. You do know that Asians stop growing much quicker than other races, right? Most Asians start their growth spurt faster, but end it quicker too.

175 cm is average, but if u be a skinny dude with that height then its not good and u will look like a small guy. If you build up muscles then u will look better and noone will care about your height. Lol kid u are 15.. I was like 170cm when 15 years old but now I am 181cm, just follow a great nutrition program do workouts ( stretch your back, legs etc ) and u will grow much taller.

Being tall hasn't got anything to do with genetics, if u don't do anything then it does but if u play basketball, do stretching exercises or swim u can grow much much taller.

I'm planning on doing more workouts. by the way, height is kind of genetic. My friend's parents are both like 180 and 190 cm. He's currently over 180. For me, it's quite the opposite and I can't be as tall as him, even though I'm more fit and eat healthier.

Well bruh.. its genetic only if u don't do anything ( sleep well, doing workouts etc ) I also have a friend whom's parents are about 165 - 170 but he's like 187cm, why? Because he is a basketball player, just follow the things I said u will be better.

I don't think you understand :( My metabolism is really fast. My body temperature is always too high, and that's where most of my energy goes. I sleep about 3 hours more than the average person at my school and I play tennis 6 hours a week (at least until I injured my foot recently). Most of the fat and energy in my food goes directly to body heat. No matter how much I eat, I won't gain any weight at all. I wonder where all the food went... I'd play basketball, but I loathe the sport because of the douchebags in my school who always make fun of me for being bad at it.

Meh, I'm leaving that school this year anyways. I don't know, I just really suck at team sports. I'm very good at concentrating on one thing, which is why I like tennis and other individual sports. When it comes to team sports, I just can't do it. I can't focus on many things at once and I get overwhelmed. I always feel pressured by my team to not mess up.

You're also 15. I didn't hit my growth spurt until I was 16. I was around your height and now I'm 6'3. That doesn't have any bearing on how greatly or how little you'll grow but you still have plenty of time to still grow.

In most countries/regions of the world it is more than okay. Exceptions are tall places like Scandinavia and the Netherlands or places with incredibly tough competition like NYC and LA.

It's just the average height. I'm pretty sure many people are taller than 160cm, at least. This is why I'm not attracted to Korean girls... I like people who are at least 165cm.

In other words, that's more like 10%, not 1%.

In general, though, the height range that's MOST attractive to US women -- in percentage/overall terms -- is about 6'0"-6'2".
Guys TALLER than 6'2" actually become sexually attractive to FEWER women with each additional inch of height.
