Since people don't like to hear the truth, is it better just to keep quite and avoid drama if you know that person doesn't like hearing truth?

Generally people don't like hearing the hard truth no matter how you say it. So if I see or sense a person doesn't like to hear the truth about a situation or themselves, I have come to the conclusion to just let them go their way without telling them nothing to avoid drama, especially in person. I just don't see the point in arguing with someone that likes to believe lies anymore.

It depends... if my truth is going to benefit them or others around them then I'll always say it - hopefully constructively and with kindness. If they don't want to hear it at least I've said my part and done what I could for them, as you can't help someone who is willing to help themselves.

If it's just my opinion or judgement then no, I won't always say it because that becomes about me and my ego/needs then

Depends on the person you're talking to.
If it's someone that isn't really connected to you and you don't really care about - then just give up on them...
But if it's someone who is very near and dear to you... do what you have to do.

I had a roommate that hates listening to the truth, he gets mad and childish every time someone tells him the truth that others around him are oppressing, and he actually thinks it's not fair to be told the truth and he sometimes tells me in private how inappropriate it was to be told the truth. So, I am confused as hell and have no answer. I am definitely gonna try to find an answer here from peoples opinions.

Yeah plus you telling the truth could even possibly land you in jail so its better to keep it to yourself. Plus its not your right to stick your nose in other people business. I just let people live their own lives its not my problem and plus I don't really care.

It depends on how stuck you are with them, and how much them avoiding the truth hurts you. By all means smile and nod and move on, if they or the subject mean nothing to you, but it's important to make your feelings clear if you want to have a meaningful relationship.

Not all illusions are worth destroying, many people know the truth but would rather believe in their ideas. If it causes no harm to anyone (including the believer) It's just a harmless believe. If it's serious then you break it down to the individual and not just tell him/her out of the blue.
