Saw photo of his ex, I don't think I'm his type!

so my guy friend and I have confessed feelings for each other. he says he likes me and is attracted to me but right now is not ready for a relationship. so we're just friends. we've never had sex but we've kissed. I guess since he is "not ready" - I am kinda doubting if he's even interested regardless of his actions and words which prove he is interested.

reason for my doubt is that I just saw a picture of his ex and umm...she's 5'8 and super thin. I am 5 feet tall and curvy...he also said his other ex was thin too. so how is he attracted to me?! I am the complete opposite of what he usually goes for...help.

If you took a look at my ex's you wouldn't see many similarities either. We're attracted to different things in different people and our attractions change all the time. Be confident in the way you look and don't worry about what his ex looks like. On the contrary, when I look too much like the ex of a guy I like, I'm concerned he only likes me because I remind him of her!

OMG you are so right! All my exes are completely different even though I've always said I don't have a "type".......and as a matter of fact, I was totally into this other guy until one of my friends pointed out that he looked like my ex and the interest was gone instantly LOL thank you

well that doesn't mean anything my bfs x was a natural blonde about my height, and I have black hair and I am black and white. and she was white all of his x's were white until me.

When I say I'm not ready I'm trying to slow myself down so I don't overwhelm her, I only use the I'm not ready line when I'm really interested. That's just me though.

Thanks. Good to know. His reason is that he got out of a long term rel. months ago so he doesn't want a rel. right now.....but a girl always wonders if a guy says that to let them down easy or if it's the truth.
