My father always told me growing up that being a white male born in America was the best.
It seems like in today's society, it is the white men that are being persecuted. Almost as if racism and sexism unacceptable towards anyone except the white man.
Look at thw definition of "white pride" on wikipedia for example. It states white pride is racist. But look at black pride, gay pride, etc... and there is a completely different message.

Comparing White pride to Asian pride, Black pride and Gay pride is a prime example of false equivalence (which is a fallacy).
Black pride and Asian pride came about during the 1960s in protest of how those groups were being disenfranchise and marginalized from society. For centuries, white Americans, shamed those minorities for simply being Asian and Black. Those movements came about to fight against the negative image that society perpetrated against them.
White pride on the other hand came about a couple of years later and it was a rally cry for the KKK, which is why the ONLY people who you see preaching about white pride are racist people. The KKK adopted the White pride slogan as a way to not only mock Black/Asian Pride, but to also spread the word on how superior whites are to everyone else.
Just because those words end in the word "pride" does NOT mean they came about the same way. Black and Asian pride was created to uplift the self esteem of those minorities by telling them that they are not inferior, while White pride was created to tell white people that they are superior to everyone else.
its fairly simple. there is a growing number of people that believe whites are supreme and should therefore be hated. its not us who believe in white supremacy, its them who believe in white supremacy.
So in a way there is irony and contradictory, because it is themselves that feel the white men are superior and protesting against it, yet not all white men feel that way.
yes, how are we superior or supreme? these people protesting against white supremacy believe we secretly conquered the world and caused all the current day existing problems other races are dealing with. its the ethno-masochism of the left wing thats driving them crazy. white left wingers hate their own race. thats not my fault.
I am appauled because of the wikipedia definitions. What a BS!!! Normal women of any color love white men. Normal people of any skin tone don't even bother with condemning "white pride" , they are too busy working and taking care of themselves and their loved ones. The only ones yelling "white pride" are losers (including those with white skin) are losers not happy in their own skin. It is still awesome to be white straight hard working men in the USA and anywhere in the world

It's the very fact that your father told you you were the best that brings the criticism of your privilege.
"White" is not a biological designation. No one ever gets upset with anyone in my family when we talk lovingly of the various Europeans that created us. White is not a heritage or an ethnicity. It's just a skin pigment. And our society celebrates whites every dang day of the year.
I think the reason for that is that most racism is directed to people who aren't white (people of color), and so white pride is taken as racist. It's not always the case though - racism can happen to everyone. There's nothing wrong with black, Asian or white pride as long as no one outside of the spectrum is talked down upon.
Pride comes before the fall, that applies to everything and everybody. I don't associate myself with any color, so-called race, etc. All that 'pride' no matter what it is, is wrong. Nothing good comes out of it, and it isn't benefiting anybody except hurting people because of entitlement. That's how I look at all of it.

nothing happened to being straight white and male. the change is that most people don't simply consider straight white males the "best" because they aren't the best. they are no better or worse than anyone else
People being proud of their heritage, that happen to be in white countries, is very much accepted and widely stimulated. For example, Bastille Day, St. Patrick's day, Renaissance faires and the lot are all widely celebrated. This is because it's not white heritage, but European or American culture. These are not associated with being pride since it is usually represented by the majority in the countries of its origin.
Seems like plenty of white pride in heritage to me.
When minorities express pride, it is usually in the sense of Black culture and soforth. The white people's culture is not inherently white, it is American/British/French/German.
People don't express 'white pride' in the sense of being proud of their heritage, nor has being white to do with the culture such as French culture.
The only people who scream 'white pride' are the white nationalists, supremacists and that kind.
Celebrate St. Patrick's day, a festival from a predominantly white country and clearly being proud of one's heritage, and nobody will complain. So no, celebrating your heritage is not frowned upon.
I'd say a straight white male obviously doesn't face some of the disadvantages that minorities have, although then among other groups, being white is a disadvantage.
FUN FACT: Being White makes your likelihood of getting hired much higher than that of a POC due to assumptions about etiquette and education. FUN FACT: Being Male makes your likelihood of getting hired much higher than that of a Female due to assumptions about competence and education. FUN FACT: Being Straight makes your likelihood of getting hired much higher than that of a 'Queer' (which, as one, I find comfort in reclaiming that term) due to the religious backing behind politics, business, and education.
A white male telling you that being a white male is the best thing on Earth is TEXTBOOK BIAS. Be a learning human and look beyond childhood misconceptions.
No type of human being is better than another based upon THEIR DNA AND GENEALOGY. They are "better", if ever, based upon their choices and actions.
And, at the end of the day, who determines 'best', and who cares what they say?
Look in the google search bar for White inventors list. You will get a list of Black inventors instead. Look for a White Pride or Proud to be White license plate holder on Amazon. You will get results for Mexican pride and for Blacks and gays but not White. It is the liberals that are causing it.
The reason is that these victim groups need someone to blame, a boogeyman, a scapegoat. White men are the great Satan, no matter that white men built this country into a destination for the world. Nope, we're the evil ogres who need to be stopped. It's like these assholes expect white men to go away. Right.

Sort of off topic, but it's hilarious how all of these white supremacists think they're the best that humanity has to offer, yet they all look like complete butt-nuggets. Literally the worst of the white population, yet they think they're the best lol.

it has to go with the hiring practices, minorities have been given preference, and females preference above males.
everyone before had to learn the language of the land, now it's pay taxes so the can have separate language sections, all government paperwork in their own language. it divides the people so we can fight amongst ourselves and not watch the government.

Are you really asking this when Donald Trump got elected President in 2016, over the much better qualified Hillary Clinton? Seems like straight white men born in the United States are still going strong. Get over your victim complex.
What are you proud of? What part of your "culture" makes you proud? What would you celebrate about being white? The stealing, raping, killing, lying, discriminating, self-entitlement or privelidge?
