They can put whatever signs they want on a bathroom and it's not going to change anything. This is the biggest non issue that's been bring up in the media lately. There's NO way to know who has what unless you now require ID to use a public restroom.
I personally don't care about what body parts the person in the next stall over from me has. People have been using the "wrong" restroom for decades and no one cared. Now everyone's freaking out because "a guy could be in there with their daughter". Um if he's dressing and living as a women chances are he's not interested in your daughter anyway 🙄. the sick perverts in this world thought of dressing as the opposite sex years ago to get into public bathrooms to possibly harm your children. The media just never told you about it and the perverts know it's not worth the risk of getting caught. most sexual assaults in public restrooms happen in the MENS room against young boys (who shouldn't of been sent alone anyway) or GAY/trans men.
Over the 35 year history of NDOs (Non-Discrimination Ordinances) protecting transgender people all over the world, only one case of a person abusing an NDO and committing sexual assault (in Canada) has ever been found, even by those most interested in demonizing transgender people.
Think about that for a moment.
Every NDO, every person, every bathroom, every day, every trip to the loo, for 35 years, and it’s happened once in the entire world. I'll take my chances 😉
@thinkaloudtolive did you even READ the article? Residential bathroom by a "family friend ". not a public bathroom by a complete stranger. And even if I was that makes 2 sickos that happen to be transgender in 35 years! in perspective there's over 80k reported rapes per year in the US alone.

TBH I don't care where the bathroom is. The point is, allowing a transgender to use a bathroom assigned to the opposite sex of their own (by both) opens up a floodgate for people to be harmed.
No. It's not as easy to to see quickly which one you should go to. Also penis is... Well people might call a man a penis as a sort of offensive term even though it is literally the terms of the genitals. Can't believe so many people Said yes! It's vulgar. Even tho the whole post is probably a joke. Could put men and women. But I know there's an issue these days with transexual people and their rights and which they are allowed to use. And of course the pic of a woman with a skirt... Well I know not all women wear skirts. I also know not all pictures are clear these days
They should just have a separate unisex bathroom then! I don't want some dude to dress up as a female just to go into the girls bathroom and be a creeper looking with a mirror and shit at me. That's what I'm scared of, I'm not scared of transsexuals, even though I don't know their sexual orientation either or their creeping status, but I know how straight males would def take advantage of that shit.

I half agree with that view. There's a washroom with urinals for people with a penis, and one without, for people without.
However the reality is it puts people in an awkward situation when the way they present doesn't match their genitals.
If someone really appears to be female, then they should use the same bathroom as other women, because them walking into the men's room would create confusion. And similarly, someone who presents as male, would cause chaos going into the women's room.
The 'problem' is not people who've transitioned fully in external experience. The 'problem' is people who don't remotely pass. There's no easy place for them to go.
I'm amazed this is even a question. Part of the transition phase for the patient is living for a considerable amount of time doing they day-to-day activities as the gender they identify with before a psychiatrist will approve them for surgery. Surely, using a gender-based toilet would be part of those activities unless the patient were a hermit?
What's gonna end up happening is you'll get people who identify as female - and look like a woman - who just still have a penis going in the men's bathroom because of their genitals. 😛

Yes, I do. Because they weren't just born male or female, they are male or female. I don't want grown men in the same bathroom as little girls. Period.

I'm saying what I want, but that doesn't mean I don't realize the obvious problems that come with it. Besides, if the persons appearance is really that convincing, they simply won't be caught. It's not like I'm asking them to jail someone who doesn't follow the rules, I just believe that they should have those rules.
I'm just being realistic. I wasn't saying they shouldn't be enforced. At the very least it would weed out the people who simply claim to be the opposite gender while having done nothing to transition. I've met big guys who just call themselves transgender and look manlier than I do.
Saying we shouldn't have rules just because we know some people won't get caught is no different than saying we shouldn't have laws because we know people will break them
No because 1 you're taking away a store owners right to freedom of speech if they HAVE to label as such. Plus if you do that you're taking away all the good bathroom signs that some store owners use.

I think we should avoid all possible misinterpretations and put X/Y and X/X on the doors to restrooms. DNA determines gender.
If you did that there would be so many people would be confused because there’s so many fake penises and fake pussies out. Doctors and medical procedures do that so everyone is confused

because penis could be fake and vagina could be fake. We have males with their penis pushed up inside them and calling it a vagina now a days and vice versa.
@snowangle YUP... if you were born a girl you will always be a girl no matter what you make your outside look like. If you allow people to simply "look" like a gender you will have situations where one sex pretends to be the other to creep on the opposite sex.
I personally like the little black images of a man and of a women rather than the words.

No. No matter how many genders are invented by libtards, there still are only two sexes - male and female. So they can either go to regular toilet, or be offended, don't go in and sh*t themselves.
No because man = penis and woman = vagina. It's like asking if we should write numbers in roman : it won't change a damn thing, it will just piss some people off over nothing.
A woman never has a penis, and a man never has a vagina. Our genitalia, along with many other characteristics, specific to our genders respectively, are what identify us as men and women. The two most well known being the penis and vagina.
I don't literally agree with having penis and vagina replace male and female on our restroom doors, but in light of the given standards of society's ever evolving definition of what constitutes male and female, using the penis and vagina delivers us a fool proof method.
You're missing OP's initial point all together. It's not meant to be literal. It's poking fun at how we must devolve our standards (the point you yourself are making) to accommodate our so called "evolved" way of thinking. (E. g. Being all-inclusive etc.)
@thinkaloudtolive what about a hermaphrodite? They have both penis and vagina? They have to identify as one or the other and they have both. While I agree with the gist here that penises should not be in the girls bathroom, your simplification of the argument is faulty and doesn’t hold up to medical facts about boys have penises and girls have vaginas.
Let me see if I understand: having sexual education at school is "very important and fundamental" but reading or seeing signs of penis and vagina is "too vulgar and explicit". Seems completely rational.
