Why are boxer-briefs so popular?

so I have to ask given the results of polls.why are boxer briefs so popular with the ladies?

I personally hate boxers and prefer boxer-briefs or just briefs, call me weird, but I like the control they offer. I run a lot and do sports and I definitely don't enjoy it when my junk is bouncing all over the place, I prefer it nice and snug, not as distracting. I guess the best parallel I could make is, why don't women just wear t-shirts instead of bras or maybe just sports bras. They don't like their breasts bouncing around everywhere they go when they walk/jog, etc.

well I personally like regular boxers better. but those are hott too. I don't know its kind of like how guys like to see us in sexy lingerie, we like to see you in boxer-briefs becasue we can SEE way more definition. its hot haha

I'm no fan. I like boxers. When I saw a guy in boxer briefs, I believe my exact question was "what the f*** are those?" They look weird to me, like something a guy would wear if he was doing aerobics or something.
