Russia is huge and therefore ethnically diverse, even when you take the European bit out. China also has a very large number of ethnic groups, but they tend to suppress the groups they consider troublesome, a bit like Russia.

Iran and Turkey aren't that diverse at all

Iran is very diverse. Almost 25-30 percent of Iranian population has Turkic roots. There are also people who have Arabic, Kurdisch, Pasthun and Pakistani roots.

As for Turkey, ethnic Turks make up only 70 percent of the population.
