The global knowledge that is passed down to offshore companies can help them become better to compete against the global market.

The number one reason why India remains a top outsourcing provider is due to the significant cost savings that companies can achieve. This is mainly because of the wide gap that exists between personnel costs in India and that of the developed countries.

Facing new corporate demands and political pressure from a Trump administration that wants to curb immigrant work visas, Infosys, one of India’s leading tech outsourcing companies, said that it will hire up to 10,000 Americans to serve its clients in the United States.

The move makes Infosys the latest Asian technology company to portray itself as a jobs creator as President Trump threatens to take action against companies he sees as hurting American workers. The majority of Infosys’s business is in the United States, and it typically receives several thousand H-1B visas every year to bring in mostly entry-level Indian programmers who move from project to project at companies in industries like banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and energy.

Many companies keep their outsourcing statistics confidential to a certain degree, so it is not easy to state which companies do more overseas manufacturing than others.

Sportswear giant Nike outsources the production of all its footwear to various overseas manufacturing plants. China has a larger share of Nike manufacturing plants than other countries, but Nike does maintain quite a few manufacturing plants in Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam and India.

That's a terrible idea, unless you want to make a developed country into a developing country. How do you maintain an economy if you don't have empolyeed people? How do you build things if your busy building them in another country? How do you move up in the world if all you have are unskilled labor jobs or the highly skilled jobs with no intermediary work that could be used to help pull yourself to a high enough income bracket to get your kids into a good school to become skilled workers? That's what causes wealth gaps, the removal of the bridge between poverty/unskilled work and wealth/skilled work. That's a terrible idea and why we are losing the middle class to begin with.

I done lot IT Programming jobs on up work. com, freelancer. com most jobs are offered from USA, Canda, UK.. doing this task pays 150 to $200 and the same task will be done in US for approximately 1000 to $2,000...

If you looking at countries like Philippines the most of the people can speak English so eventually BPO jobs can be moved to Phillipines without question, and average salary will be $5,000 per annum the same task will be done in US for minimum wage of €60,000 per annum so if I am a business owner to be in competition I wouldn't hire any Americans if someone does that he will be out of the market in coming days or year's..

This is why our country is f***** up right now cuz we're f****** sending everything to Mexico China Japan and they're building it for like $0.02 and then they come back and sell it to us for $2,000. Perceived to be cheaper for the company but the company then has to be very careful to manage them and ensure standards and not all do this well.
Workers in the company's native country get a raw deal of course.
Call centres are often outsourced. Customers in native country find it harder to communicate with a foreign speaker from another culture.

I was laid-off because the company that I was working for who outsourced my job to Malaysia. So as for my opinion I disagree with the practice of outsourcing. Outsourcing takes jobs away from people who rely on the paycheck to another country so they don't have to spend more money.

Well it's corporations who do it. They want to make money. Trump is feeling these companies you will not do business in the states if you continue to conduct business in this manner.

Depending on the product, if I find out some 7 year old in China is getting payed 3 dollars a day to make shoes that they want to charge me 300 I'm gonna loose my shit. Won't by that brand again.
