Why do guys wear shorts year round?

I wear shorts when it is cold out because I don't mind the cold - it is only a bad thing if I try to run after being immobile. Shorts are more free, and in my case, take up less room in the washer so I have to do laundry less. Besides that, I ride a bike and the chain likes to eat pants so I just have to avoid it.

Well I do that, I wear shorts because it feels good to me, it's really hard for me to get cold, to me it starts getting cold around 40-45 and that were I'll wear pants but still wear short sleeves. Jacket weather isn't until about 25, but that's just me.

lol good question. there is this one guy in my class who will show up to school in nothing but shorts and a t shirt. but the thing is that he doesn't even seem cold

This is definitely me.

First of all, I have really muscular calves, so I'm more insulated. Second, I have much hairier legs than any girl I've ever met, so I get more insulation from that. Third, I'm pretty thick-skinned in general, so I'm even more resistant to the cold. Fourth, jeans are uncomfortable as hell.

I basically wear shorts year-round. I'm in Texas, though, so it's not too bad.

It's funny you mention that. I wore shorts and a hooded sweatshirt today, and its cold out. To tell you the truth I used to run track and we used to practice outside in the winter months. My legs are used to being exposed. It's weird cause my upper extremities get cold, but not my legs.

Some of us just hate pants, can't fit into pants that are comfortable, or just love being able to move more freely with shorts on. Plus, if your athletic why not show off the legs a little lol

I would say most don't. A lot of guys say "What the hell dude. How are you not cold?" but they're just girly-men.

Well I guess I should have re-worded this to say "some" guys but yeah I don't know I see some guys wearing shorts when its like so cold out..one time there was ice covering everything and a dude comes walking by in basketball shorts..
