Is anyone here is or was a late bloomer?

When it comes to certain milestones?

Like dating, relationships, puberty, education, career, etc.

Not work & education - I was born in the history of philosophy department at Suny :)

(jk but I spent most of my childhood in my dads(he was a grad student) office researching stuff or going to classes while he worked.)

I haven't been in a relationship- by choice. First kiss I was 18 - actually I had 1 2 3- then left.

So that's it lol I'm 19 I've had three kisses :) -oh 5 kisses & Yea same guy.

Dating - Yes. Still never been a dater.

Relationships - 21.

I find that with girls, there are a lot of attractive smart girls who are late bloomers, esp with asians...who only have their first relationship after 25 even.

Education - No

Yeah I think it can be an asian thing....the cultures can be more reserved, parents encourage you to date or anything

I agree, it's mostly an asian thing but a lot of other cultures don't encourage dating either. I'm 1/2 asian and 22 and I've never been in a relationship. All of my asian friends have started dating in high school except my only guy friend, so I thought it was just me >_<

Started pubert late, my freshmen year.

I ddin't have my first kiss till my sophomore year in highschool, only dated once and I still haven't had a real relationship and I'm 18...its cause I'm such a nerd. lol

Wow, that's a late puberty. I think I started puberty right on time (12 years old), but all of your other milestones seem about right.

Yeah I'm a late bloomer in most things career, education.

As for relationships and dating that's a no bloomer. I am shy and I know girls hate shy guys becuase I hear them going on about it all the time. Since I've never had one, relationship or a date I tried online dating but women just never reply or initiate so after 5 years I decided to take my profiles down.

Actually, both. I consciously made the choice not to focus on dating, but at the same time there wasn't really anyone I had much interest in or showed much interest in me.

Not sure what is usually considered "late" but I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 16, most girls around me have had at least 5 by then.

well I'm still a virgin and saving it for marriage, by choice though, and I'm 22 and still in community college, so I'm more of a late-bloomer when it comes to college.
