+1 yI'm kind of a strange mix of an early bloomer and a late bloomer. In terms of skills and interests, I discovered and developed most of mine at a very early age. I even started making money developing software as I do now at the early age of 14 with a lead developer position for a game company while I was still riding the bus to school.
In terms of certain aspects of maturity, I also think I developed those very early as a firstborn child to parents who divorced while somewhat having to play a parental role in taking care of my little sister. Yet there were other ways in which I was very immature, like my fiery temper and I didn't have the wisdom to deescalate conflicts back then.
Yet I was the ultimate late bloomer in social contexts. I didn't really start dating or comfortably navigating social events or making real lifelong friends of my own choosing until university. I was so reserved and largely kept to myself until then. I managed to turn even the coolest activities I did like sports antisocial because people would watch me and cheer me and invite me to parties but I'd decline and shy away. Until university, I saw my entire life in terms of training and studying and working with almost no social life whatsoever.00 Reply

+1 yAbsolutely. I was extremely awkward, immature, made a lot of dumb decisions, and was overweight and poorly dressed (though I'm still not sure I'm a great dresser now, lol- I used to dress in baggy clothes that were way too big for me because I hated my body, but they only made me look bigger) until I was around 20. I've come a long way since then.
I'm pretty good at socializing now, have matured immensely, lost the weight, and at least wear stuff that fits me now. I'm also ironically built better now than in my teens, lol.
I was also really bad about forgetting to complete and turn in homework in school, goofed off most of the time and couldn't have cared less about my grades or what happened to me (thank God I had a family and teachers who did care and pushed me to do what I needed to, anyway), and nobody really thought I'd ever go anywhere in life. Somehow, I'm extremely responsible as an adult and way more concerned with my finances and future than many people now. I also have a great career, and own a home and a paid off vehicle. Quite a 180 from how I was!23 Reply- +1 y
That’s great @aWes0MeNeSs—way to turn things around!

@Gagname Thank you! :)
+1 yPersonally when speaking of talents and "academic" terms I wasn't a late bloomer I felt like I understood most things and learned new things faster.
As for body... I feel like I haven't changed much. Never ended up getting big tits like my friends or even an ass lol. Then for my looks I feel like I changed a bit but not enough to call myself a "late bloomer".
Right pic when I was 15/16 and left pic is now. If anything I may have went in reverse lol. 38 Reply- +1 y

+1 yKind of.. I didn’t learn to speak properly until I was about 4 years of age but when I did I was fluent in two languages and learning another on the side too. I didn’t develop friendship or learn how to interact properly until I was in secondary school probably and even then not much but was always pretty advanced with studies and was in a special ‘learning group’ where we would analyze certain books such as from Agatha Christie etc at 13 or so. Then there was a period where I kind of got depressed and sports wasn’t really my thing except running I was always good at. Now that I’ve graduated and I’m in uni, I’m pretty advanced with weightlifting and have gotten into competitive bodybuilding but I’m still young so I’m gonna go with Late bloomer.
As for sexually I didn’t really develop an adult body until I was 16-17 so also gonna go with a yes23 Reply- +1 y
Thank you 😊
+1 yYes and no!
I glowed up from school but in the wider arena where girls wear revealing clothes, high heels, contour the hell out of their faces! I'm mediocre.
I had a major issue with acne and blemishes. Consequently I've spent the longest time trying to ensure my skin looks better. The quality of my skin is top notch but I can't remove the blemishes simply because I have polycystic ovaries.
I do wear foundation which looks very natural.
And generally just apply that to look acceptable.
But honestly most guys just pass me up.
I don't really know why!00 Reply- 563 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yYep. Always and forever. Slow at what I'm doing. Procrastinator too.
But the advantage to being slow about your accomplishments and choices and actions? You're committed to them. You know yourself well enough to know your choice is correct and fits you well. If you've done it long enough, you know you can do it well too and you have confidence about what you can do and what you can accomplish.
Better that than a flash in the pan!10 Reply Yeah I think so.
I didn’t give into peer pressure and i lost my virginity later than I’ll bet the average is, and I’m getting married later than when my parents expected me to30 Reply

@supercutebutt lol, I did get beat up a lot.
+1 yNo, not particularly.
I fell in with the crowd when I grew up. I did what most other people my age did. I would consider myself an ‘early bloomer’ if anything lol. But, I would be considered a late bloomer when it comes to sex.20 Reply- 704 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yHuh, growing up everyone always used that term to mean how long it took to hit or finish puberty or finish growing.
Anyway, based on the skills and talents thing, no, I was way ahead of most children my age in knowledge, skills, and talents, I read early, I spoke early, a decelopee talents early.01 Reply- +1 y
developed* (typing fast is not a talent of mine)
100% I was a late bloomer. Didn't have my first period till I was almost 15. Didn't have my first kiss until I was 17. Lost my virginity on the verge of 18. Lol.

So you “stayed up all night on this site,” huh? Lol. Yeah, GAG is very addictive.
When did you join GAG, like after midnight you’re time today (Thursday)?
Concerning when people have full sex, I suppose you’re right—that most probably have that between 15 & 17 (14 & 16?) nowadays.
Let me know if you have any questions about this site, or just want to chat. If so, you can message me, my pm’s are open.
+1 yNo , I've always been cute, bloomed early physically and was hit on by older guys which makes me shiver when i think about it now. Only thing was that I didn't have good teeth till I was 18 and able to get my own insurance to pay for it.

ahhh just read the wiki definition of it and from the wiki definition then yes I was a late bloomer due to having to re-parent myself.
1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Nah I was a extremely early bloomer. For puberty and in life. I'm 25 and already feel like I've lived a full life
415 Reply- +1 y
@Gagname they recommend to wait 18 months but a lot of women get preggo before that and have healthy babies. I've already discussed it with my doc said it was fine with me trying for another. My plan is to let myself get pregnant naturally like not "trying" or "preventing" kind of just let it happen
- +1 y
Apple1996 If you don't mind me asking Did you had your kids all natural birth or C section? I had my two kids on c section very painful.
- +1 y
@Alwayreckles93 had vaginal births with all my babies. The 3rd birth was a emergency induction and that sucked since it is more painful than natural contractions. I'm sure a c section would be worse tho. It was my worst fear that I might have had to get cut but thankfully didn't.
- +1 y
I don't wish it on my worst enemy. It hurts horrible afterwards especially on winter season it feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife. Then they made me take medication.
- +1 y
It is good that you didn't get no c section. Vaginal birth is a lot more healthy less medication.
u +1 yNot really, I hit puberty very early and I’ve experienced most things In life that people my age haven’t even had a taste of yet.
31 Reply- +1 y
Oh really,
what age did you develop then
1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Interesting. Can't say I was a late bloomer but I do know some people who are what that article describes, yeah. And it is true that as they get older they usually do grasp it better and faster.

I've always had good grades.
Haven't discovered any new talents or anything either.
I've just always been lowkey about everything.00 Reply3.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, I was pretty clueless as a kid. By the time I was ready for elementary school I was in Jr. High. When I figured that out I was well into high school. I got pretty good at being a HS student shortly before finishing college. And so on.
