Do you think these types of outfits for little girls are inappropriate?

So the other day my friend at work was telling me about her six year old daughter wanting this outfit as all her friends wear similar and she said no and her daughter had a tantrum.

These are actually meant as gym clothes for children but first of all why would a little girl need to go to the gym? and secondly when ever I did sports as a little girl, I would wear a big t shirt and sweat pants. I see little girls dressed like this everywhere usually with some trashy slogan on like "god digger" or "juicey" I just cringe and think to myself who are these girls parents letting them go out dressed like that?

The outfit itself is not overly offensive but the slogans that you mentioned definitely would be. I just see a kid when I look at this, but maybe someone with more sinister eyes would see something else.

It's a bit much, problem is because there is a trend for the media to show a style of clothing, kids want in on it too, gym clothing is fashionable ATM so brands will invariably make a child's version, which when it could be deemed inappropriate isn't good

Yes. I think it is wrong to sexualize children. This type of clothing shows off a women's body. I don't think is appropriate for anyone under 16 (though I'd prefer my girls not wear that until they are adults)
