We've been dating about a month or so, he says he does not want a serious relationship, but will be monogamous. The other day we were lying together on his couch and he referred to me as "his girl" now how can I be his girl if he said no serious relationship, and we are open to date others.

It's his way of flirting a bit and saying my girl means he cares about you. It does not necessarily mean he's ready to jump into a committed relationship. He's just saying it being playful, flirty and a bit territorial.

I would not read in to it, I have been called "his girl" before from a guy who was in no way able to committ, I got hurt in the end. Just take things slow until he shows you he is serious about the two of you. Good luck
