What does it mean when a guy calls you "my girl" to his friends and says "you're mine?"?

depends on the balance of it. relationships are by definition somewhat possessive, and that isn't entirely a bad thing. it can be harmful if he's taking it too far (doesn't let you hang out with friends or do your own things). I'd say it's all about context; how he's saying it, why he is saying it , and where he is saying it. is he saying it to be cute, with a lighter tone of voice, or an authoritative one?

To be cute but aggressively playful. He told me today that I am his girlfriend that's what it means. :) I know some people have different meanings of it like sexual or relationship wise.

I dunno. What does it mean? My girl. My meaning ownership to. Girl. Which you are. You're mine. You seriously gotta be shitting me. No o e is this dense not know what this mean. Just a phrase to let you know he wants you as his own. Sexually or just a relationship is up to him. Only he knows.
