What does the guy's pat on the head mean?

So there's this guy in school who is a grade higher than me. I knew from my friends and his too and from the signs he is giving me that he likes me. I know for a fact that he rarely pats a girls head when he meets her. But I noticed that he pats mine more often and he even ruffles my hair. The weird thing is, I'm beginning to like him too and whenever we meet each other he pats and ruffles my head. We meet each other everyday in school, and whenever we do, we're always surrounded by people who wants to tease us just for being together.

IM my opinion I think he likes you! I mean if he doesn't do that to other girls it means something special and if other people bother you it may be true, but be careful don't be to forward with it make sure first and then act.

honestly, I think of a pat on the head as a sign of affection that he might show to his sister. I don't think he likes you, I think he thinks of you as a kid, and maybe is protective of you

Well if he is taller than you that can just be him showing off his hight I do it toa girl I like as just a way to make contact with her in a nonchalant way
