I mean, in most cultures, yeah. China, India, Japan, America, Europe. Geishas and qinglou nvzi, with pasty white makeup, and in a lot of those Asian cultures lighter skin tones are seen as more attractive than the darker skin tones.
The lighter the skin tones have typically been viewed as more attractive overall, around the world I think. Not sure about Africa but given that black men on dating apps prefer Latinas over black women I dunno. Although it's more tan in America now but probably more because of white guilt and general anti-white sentiments, in my opinion. I know. Hard pill for some people to swallow.
But some traits are more attractive than other traits. End of the day you have to rate some higher than others on a preference scale. For instance, a woman might often prefer a taller man than a shorter man. That's bone structure. It can't be changed. It's just more desirable. That's nature. That's life.
It doesn't mean people without those traits have no value. But it does mean some people are preferable to others for sexual purposes as we should all know. And we are all lacking in many areas, so we show our best sides first or show our other forms of value. In Africa it might be dark skin that is ideal and light skin might be the lesser tone. And I don't know what it is in South America, so it might be darker skin in South America. And that said most women are attractive so it's not that big of a difference really.

It depends on the individual, so you can't really speak for everyone.
I do tend to be more attracted to a medium-ish to lighter skin tone, but have still seen girls with a darker skin tone who I find attractive.
It depends on a lot of things. Western culture is more used to light skin, and thus is more a beauty standard, which is no issue (cultures are allowed to have preferences and beauty standards). I'd also say it depends on how the person dresses and how the colours they wear work with their skin tone.
I am extremely light for my ethnic group, and although i don't think my skin colour has anything to do with people being attracted to me other than a first glance
Ah light skin people have weak skin that doesn’t age well.

entirely dependent on the individual
Beauty comes in all shades and shapes. It frustrates me trying to understand why i find one woman attractive. and not another. I just want to know because i want to know if it's me being interested in them. or if they're playing some F'ing Jedi mind trick on me.
i like tanned, olive skinned and brown girls, like mixed raced girls.
But i don't like really dark skinned though, and i dont like really pale girls.
The perfect balance would be brown/oliveskin should have no influence on a woman's beauty unless she just has really pretty glowing skin (which can be deep or fair)
There is beauty in every skin color. Just like a box of crayons, it all depends on the individual's idea of what is attractive to them.
Generally speaking, that seems to be the notion in most of the world.
But personally, I disagree. I mean, okay I don't her to be black as charcoal, but dark brown is fineLol... no
Other features matter too
Not only skin colour
And also every person have different definitions of "beautiful"Honesty no. There are some ugly ass light skinned girls. Then there are some gorgeous dark skinned women.
No, every color is beautiful/ dark and light is equal
Yep. I like them ghost pale. So pale they're almost transparent.
Quit asking racist comments or you'll get the boot.
White skin is a feminine trait.
Even in Sub-Sahara Africa, women have lighter skin than men.I'd say no, they're both equal cuz I've seen some nice looking dark skin chicks but I'm just a sucker for fair/pale skin chicks.
Yes. This is why there is a whole industry in India devoted to making the skin lighter.
Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. That’s what makes us unique. Beauty is on the inside.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
