Why Is Bacha Bazi a Thing In Conservative Anti-LGBT Afghanistan?

Afghanistan are both conservative, has a strict religiously interpretation of conservative Islam and has the talibans, so why would Bacha Bazi be a thing then and relative popular? Homosexual relationship between two consenting adults are illegal and often punished with death. Afghanistan like many other Islamic countries are opposed to gays. Yet bacha bazi is more socially accepted and although it's not necessary legal, the law rarely gets enforced.

Bacha bazi is when an adult man (Usually older than 20) and a boy (Usually between 12 - 17. Under 18) either have a sexual relationship or the youngest one entertain the oldest one with sensual dances. Sometimes the bacha bazi boys cross dress too although the society don't like regular LGBT-things. In addition women are always covered with a burqa and never dance, participate in sport etc. They're usually inside their homes.

Well one thing is for certain, it has nothing to do with religion.

Ignorance, I'd say. It's sick and nowhere done in other parts of the Middle East and other countries where the population is for a big part Muslim.

Anal sex is forbidden, premarital sex is forbidden, gay people who get into the act of lust is forbidden, pedophilia is forbidden, vulgarity is forbidden, dressing like the opposite sex is forbidden. The way women are treated there is forbidden too. Burqa isn't obligated nor encouraged. Locking the women up and taking away their rights is forbidden. All of these are considered major sins.

In the Pashtun culture especially, it is acceptable for that type of behavior. It has nothing to do with Islam except for the fact that it isn't involving indecencies with a woman, and is technically acceptable. Kinda like when a girl says she's never been with a man before, but dyked out half a dozen times. I'm not sure it's a hangover from when Alexander the Great invaded Afghanistan, but it's been around at least since then.

The afghanis are very illiterate people. I've lived in pakistan and thousands of them immigrated to pakistan during the afghan war. And I've just gotta say they're too dishonest. They lie a lot and they're people with shitty morals. As for bacha bazi I've seen that in peshawar too

My mother was one of those people who immigrated to Pakistan, and I will say you can not necessarily blame them all for this sick practice. The majority of the disgusting and absolutely wrong things that my family believes are taught to them by Islam. I’ll bet if most of these Afghans weren’t Muslim, they’d be normal people. However, every group of people have those which are dishonest or those with shitty morals so just because you’ve met a lot of Afghans like that maybe it’s due to the fact that you lived in Pakistan and all those people (like my mother) lost their homes, lost their belongings, had to go to a country foreign to them, learn a new language, etc... of course they won’t be the most positive group of people if those that you have met have all been changed under those circumstances.

I disagree. Islam is very sick to the core. Islam is a religion built on submission of all people. The only way for other religions to coexist with Islam is to be slaves to the state of Islam. People must either pay extreme taxes to support Islam's spread and subjugation of other people, convert to Islam, or be killed in the name of allah.
