Does being short really affect a man's life?

Anonymous
Okay so lets start with my own life experience. I 'simply' Loved being short. Now, I am no dwarf and maybe even average height in some countries but being 5'5 (167cm) I guess I am on the shorter side. I have never been discriminated on the basis of my height, It never stopped me from even being seen as somewhat tough guy as I learned martial arts. In fact people who are 5'9 or 5'10 have often shown respect to my skills and humbly wanted to teach me some fighting techniques. I have been amazing friends with the popular pretty girls in my college and have made amazing bonds with people and made friends that I feel shall last a lifetime.

Now why do I care to ask this question then? well this is why.
I stumbled upon a quora post where someone asked that does being short affect a man's life?
I found the answer will be similar to mine but boy I was wrong. I saw an array of men some as old as 35-40 whining about women discriminating short men and women being dumb and settling for only tall 'bad boys' whatever the fuck that means. It seemed that this fully adult men argued like teenagers. I was thoroughly disappointing.

I can name so many amazing men who are of my height. For example Martin Freeman is a dude who has thousands of fan page and millions of fangirls drooling over him. Daniel Radcliff and Elijah Woods are every girls dream boyfriend. So I don't know why height is any issue to the people I saw on quora/see on the web?
