I'm sorry that happened to you. Yeah public transportation can be quiet unsafe for lone female.
There are a lot of people who use public transportation where I live, especially the subway. Obviously I would rather have my own car, but I don't have it yet, so I have to take the bus and the subway. But no, I don't feel ashamed.
NOPE!!! In NYC I loved it! Here the bus isn't nearly as safe and the infrastructure isn't even close to advanced. It's just a shitty bus or take a rideshare.
manspreading is not a fucking issue that first of all, but public transportation here isn't very crowded and i often use it, sure i'm looked down upon because i'm a skater with tracksuit clothing on heavy metal music loudly playing through my earbuds and not giving a fuck about others, of course i'm looked down upon and not only in public transportation, see the trick is to not give a single flying fuck about what society thinks of you, live your own live and fuck society.

You still can put your point across without swearing you know.
Why would I? Even if you're wealthy enough to have your own car, I dont think is convenient to live inside a bubble. It's necessary to know how the real world works. You may not have the same luck always and you'd be screwed.
First of all, how rich are you that you’ve never used public transportation? Second, no, I don’t feel ashamed to use it. Most people use it and it is better for the environment than everyone taking their own car. Third, people who will judge you for taking public transport are not people you want to be friends with anyway, they’re super stuck up, so why would you care what they think?

Nobody needs to be rich to use public transportation because they are relatively cheap or free. Its just the idea of mixing with those immigrants I think. Because those friends would offer to pick me up from home with their drivers if I ever mention of using public transport.
well you know what you're lucky you have friends that are that good to you but a lot of people aren't that fortunate. I myself had to get rid of a couple of friends because of how selfish they were. They expected me to bend over backwards helping them but when I needed help I was on my own.
No? Why on earth would you be ashamed? Personally, if it cost me less, or saved me more time, I'd use it to go to work everyday. I've used it a lot when I was in college.
Well generally I hate public transportation esp a bus as I hate to be around people not bcz I'm ashamed its totally normal to use it and in my place everyone uses public transportation students , teachers , doctors... Etc
why why put yourself through all that massive expense? i've learned one thing from owning two cars when my vision was in better condition than it is now. Cars are money pits and you never make a good return on that investment
@RobLovesDemi4ever depends on the car and how you're spending your money if you're buying domestic like Chevy u will have issues if u don't got a lot of money imports are the way to go
Well yeah thats the exact type of car i used to own a chevy camaro and a pontiac trans-am one within weeks of each other. And all my friends owned American made cars and costed them a lot too. I didn't figure out foreign cars were the way to go until later on in life when my vision went to hell
Really well you try juggling paying for rent on top of paying for a car and paying for food and other expenses as well on not so great of a pay when you're young it's a massive headache. I didn't get to have all my knowledge and wisdom that I have now about business when i was in my mid 20's. People learn as they get older.
Really you don't think its that much of a massive expense? Are you sure about that if you own 3 cars? Well why don't you take a calculator and start adding up the cost of insurance for all 3 cars plus repairs and maintance for all 3 cars plus inspection for all 3 plus the car payments if any plus taxes plus registration for all 3 plus the cost of gas for all 3 and see how much you're paying out each month You'll be surprised at that amount especially if you own 3 cars
Well i hope you did a lot of background search on the subcontractors your architect plans on using because a lot of subcontractors overcharge and a lot of them suck at their jobs
and just make sure your architect watches those subcontractors carefully they dont start drinking on the job and he better make sure they know how to use a leveler when putting up door sills and window sills and sub floors you'll be surprised how many of those morons put that shit in crooked making other parts of the house uneven
@RobLovesDemi4ever yes very well aware of that haha! I have screened about 4-5 contractors. I'm taking a trip to China to handpick the raw materials myself as I want the best quality with best price. Those contractors will trick you selling cheap tiles and all but claim the price to be much higher than the original price direct from source.
oh im well aware of that they price gouge cheap crap all the time. If you want the best material use AB plywood for your subfloors since thats the best of the best and don't use pressure treated wood for indoor use and try to use insulation under your subfloor as well. and insulated windows. And have your contractor use 5/8 sheetrock whenever possible fuck the 3/8 because that shit sucks 1/2 minimum force him to use and do not have him use OSB board on the side of your house after framing is done force him to use AB plywood instead of that cheap osb shit. And avoid particle board at all costs. thats just glued wood chip junk pasted together. same with mdf boards even though mdf is a little better than particle board and osb junk.
force your contractor to use mdf on your counters not that osb junk or particle board junk and but make sure he uses AB plywood on the outside and inside of your house nothing less. and 1/2 to 5/8 sheetrock not that 3/8 1/4 shit they'll try to sell you on regardless of how much pressuring you have to do with your contractor. you want it built to last and done right not half assed like a lot of these people will try doing
And if you go with hardwoods make sure its real hardwood not that fake laminate shit because that stuff sucks and its cheap and doesn't last. The real hardwood for floors will be 3/4 thick verses 1/4 for that laminate garbage they'll try to sell you on. You'll notice a difference when you walk on it and when its all put together.
@RobLovesDemi4ever thank you for all your specific recommendation. I actually told off my architect when he suggested me to just use footing instead of piling for my fences around the house. My fence going to be tall as I desire privacy and I don't want it to tilt or crack in the future. He kept telling me that is going to be expensive.. Well I don't care I just want strong foundation for my house.
Fencing around your house is easy use pressure treated wood not that plastic shit they sell since it has lots of gaps and is only a couple of feet high and doesn't give you much in the way of privacy as people can easily look in and its mostly for decorative purposes.
And make sure that contractor of yours cements the posts of that fence in and not just dig the damn holes and puts the posts in. a lot of them will try to skip out on doing that and make sure that jerk also uses 4x4 post metal brackets at the bottom of the 4x4 pressure treated wood to make sure it balances and stays leveled off and doesn't move when being put in the ground and don't use that quick drying crap make sure he uses cement that supports minumum 5000lb psi not that 4000lb psi crap or have him mix his own using 2 not 3 of sand and cement and 1 part water. because 2 will be thicker than 3 or is it 3 thicker than 2 you know what i mean its been a while since i done this
Wow i just went online and looked at lowes website and they changed the psi for quikrete it used to be 4000lb now its only 750psi they changed the mix and upped the price even more. Have him make his own
and have your contractor mix masonary bonding agents with the cement it'll make for a stronger hold i remember doing that back in the day. They used to come in small bottles that costed a lot now they sell them by the gallons in big jugs. That will make the cement even stronger
I used to work in lowes home improvement store back in 2001-2003 in building materials and paint department and garden department but mostly in building materials/lumber department
@RobLovesDemi4ever you have no follower. People will immediately know its me if I follow you haha! I'm hiding my identity as to avoid judgement because I know my question sounds cocky.
@RobLovesDemi4ever yeah i once had a 2005 Chevy Impala never AGAIN i rjust wanted something that looked sporty cause everyone else had Fords and Dodge and the car had rims i was so stupid for my first car i thought it was super cool until it took a fat shit on me and overheated i spent so much uneccesary money on it that i just left it in the side of the road one day and never looked back lol i drive a 2014 Hyundai Sonata now and it's way better only electrical issues that are easy to manage and the rest is just regular maintence but not expensive at all other then i wish i would have just grabbed a Toyota lol then I'd probably have no issues haha GM can go to hell lol
Where I live it's normal for people to use public transportation and I have no problem with using it. I just hate walking when it's cold and when its crowded.
I'm a foreign student and I use public transportation Within campus we have the Bear Transit and if I need to go to SF I'd just take the subway/bus Haven't been robbed yet :))
Public trans portation is a pain in the ass.. irs slow and dosent always fit into ur schedule.. so i have to since i dont have a car.. but I've seen people with suits use the bus.. so im not ashmed.. but im. sure people judge

Its ok. I broke the motherfuckers nose. And gotta be careful when we use the public transportations
You broke his nose! Wow bravo!! 👏🏼 You did not make any police report? He should be in jail and get sexual harrassment criminal record
Not ashamed, but I do see it as a bad thing because the people who use public transportation are mostly the dregs of society where I live.
Agreed with the kind of people using it
There are a lot of people who use public transportation where I live, especially the subway.

no, i'll choose that myself.
Its alright, youth mentality.

@RobLovesDemi4ever yes I know that. The point is using public transportation is seen as shameful.
Welcome to the Western world, where even celebrities like Timothee Chalamet take the metro and fly economy 😂
No? Why on earth would you be ashamed? Personally, if it cost me less, or saved me more time, I'd use it to go to work everyday.
I've used it a lot when I was in college.
Ashamed? Why? i'd rather take the bus and subway when I go downtown than take the car and pay for ridiculous parking.
Well generally I hate public transportation esp a bus as I hate to be around people not bcz I'm ashamed its totally normal to use it and in my place everyone uses public transportation students , teachers , doctors... Etc
I prefer it! Instead of thinking what people think about me, I'll use that extra money and invest it in something good!
I am pretty sure there are good people too in public transportation!
You could be right! Such a good heart, I wish you to have a good day ahead ❤️
Thank you! I wish the same for you ♥️
I haven't taken it for years but all through my highschool years i took it so it's no issue to me but i would motivate you to get a car lol
I didn't have a car as a teenager, I own 3 cars now.
why why put yourself through all that massive expense? i've learned one thing from owning two cars when my vision was in better condition than it is now. Cars are money pits and you never make a good return on that investment
@RobLovesDemi4ever I don't think it is massive expense though.

@RobLovesDemi4ever I still have much free money. Currently on the phase of building my own house, my architect has finalized my housing plan.
Well i hope you did a lot of background search on the subcontractors your architect plans on using because a lot of subcontractors overcharge and a lot of them suck at their jobs
and i hope for your sake he has all his permits before the building project begins like zoning permits and electrical permits and plumbing etc
and just make sure your architect watches those subcontractors carefully they dont start drinking on the job and he better make sure they know how to use a leveler when putting up door sills and window sills and sub floors you'll be surprised how many of those morons put that shit in crooked making other parts of the house uneven

and always have a fire resistant front door with a deadbolt on it regardless of what some asshole contractor or sub contractor tries telling you

quikrete sucks have him make it from scratch. Quikrete is that 4000lb psi crap i was referring to that quick drying junk
@RobLovesDemi4ever are you a contractor or something? I might go to you for advice once the start building the house
Wow i just went online and looked at lowes website and they changed the psi for quikrete it used to be 4000lb now its only 750psi they changed the mix and upped the price even more. Have him make his own
I was right there still is a 5000lb psi mix they sell they just call it a different name I had to look it up its called sakrete 5000
and have your contractor mix masonary bonding agents with the cement it'll make for a stronger hold i remember doing that back in the day. They used to come in small bottles that costed a lot now they sell them by the gallons in big jugs. That will make the cement even stronger

I totally agree. Side note the best foreign fast car at a good price is a Nissan 350z or 370z370z or even the gtr. If you want expensive get a Ferrari
No because you are actually saving the environment! I catch the bus a lot it’s good to get from place to place
Where I live it's normal for people to use public transportation and I have no problem with using it. I just hate walking when it's cold and when its crowded.
I'm a foreign student and I use public transportation
Within campus we have the Bear Transit and if I need to go to SF I'd just take the subway/bus
Haven't been robbed yet :))

I have a car that is only 4 years old and is really good.
I use the public transport often. Especially into central London, I would pay 1.50 for a bus fare then pay 8 pounds for a congestion charge
Why is it shame? It's normal... sometimes the car gets broken or sometimes for other reasons but it's never a shame...
Not really. Its there for a reason. Idky anybody would make someone else feel bad for taking public transportation.
