Is my boyfriend egocentric?

My boyfriend has a tendency to correct my grammar when I speak and I have found it to be very annoying. He has told me numerous times that he does it for my own good. He explained to me if I ever have a conversation with someone else he wants me to sound intelligent. I have always enjoyed writing, and using my grammar correctly is something I pride myself in. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's

remarks have made my self-esteem kind of plummet. I don't really have a lot of talent, but writing has always been my talent.

haha I believe what your boyfriend is doing is only for a period of time. soon or a little longer than soon he'll stop. If not, then that's just the type of guy that he is.

U know that writing is your talent, and if you'd just focus on that you know than on what your boyfriend's comments, your confidence will stay up!

Tell him to stop if it gets annoying, and give him the reason. Sure once in a while is good, but you can't be wrong on every grammar that he has to do that to the annoyance point, you know?

"Does it for your own good"? Um who does he think he is, your father? I think he is a pompous ass (how's that for grammar LOL). If he is going to be your boyfriend, he should respect you, not put you down and hold himself above you. If someone is making your self esteem plummet, that is a big red flag that he is probably not a nice person. Positive people don't affect others in that way. And if he knows you are so passionate about writing, why would he make you feel like that?
