The president of Ukraine confirmed that President Trump didn't ask any favors in exchange for aid, yet the democrats constantly say he held aid when he didn't. They know he didn't, but they proceed because they don't like the fact that he, unlike Democrats, gets things done and has our best interest at heart. @Liam_Hayden Did you miss that. Trump cannot be charged criminal charges while in the position of president. So there is no charges at this time. Definitionally.
That does not, in any way, state he did not break many laws.
It was Nixon I believe, who ensured that a sitting president cannot be charged criminally. Hence impeachment.

There is a difference in opinion as to the nature of breach of contract and not paying contractors. Since there are literally hundreds of suits against him for that before he took the office, that can count as 1 if you like

Impeachment originated with Constitutional Convention. During the debate, George Mason wanted to allow impeachment for political differences. That was rejected, hence the "Treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors" of Article 2, section 4. so again, where in the Articles of Impeachment is the actual crime? Please show section of the U. S. Code allegedly violated, because I cannot find it. I do see a President being impeached for exercising his Article 2 powers in a way that opposing politicians do not like, but that is exactly what the Constitutional Convention rejected.
Also, please be aware of a few things.
1. By law, the foreign aid could not be dispensed until the President certified that the corruption was decreasing.
2. By treaty, the U. S. and the Ukraine are required to cooperate on investigations into possible criminal activity.
3. The Ukraine both says there was no pressure and was unaware that aid was being withheld.
4. Joe Biden is on record bragging about threatening to withhold aid unless the Ukraine fired a prosecutor. That prosecutor just happened to be investigating corruption at Burisma (see #1 above), where Biden's son sat on the Board of Directors. Investigation under those circumstances is not only warranted, but likely compelled by the Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution, under the "take care clause."
@Liam_Hayden The way I understand it Liam. his guilt is now a matter of record. It just remains for the house (or is it the senate?) either way, it remains for them to decide if being guilty of abuse of power to be something they want to remove him from office.
