Protests turn to riots all across the United States over the racially fuelled, brutal police hate crime against George Floyd and it is making international news. As an outsider, I'm not really hearing the familiar cry of "what do we want? ______, when do we want it? Now!" All I am seeing is blind violence. I would like understand exactly what people in the United states believe they are protesting against and what action would they like to see taken? What solution do they want?

What does everyone think about possibly extending police training from 6 months to perhaps 1 year? Also including training on how not to use lethal force and to include education aimed at recognising cultural bias?

Life is all balance of power and the government puts power in the hands of police to enforce it. They go too far sometimes on any race... it's a terrible job... like teacher, dr, nurse.. they are not allowed to screw up or they lose it all. What mental health therapy do they get? In some areas the power has shifted to criminals because the consequence of controlling and maintaining law/order is not worth the risk... so criminals gain power. That's a whole another angle to your question, on a tangent. But you see where it goes... we are sliding that direction. Any cop that goes too far... they are nailed! How long til cops bakc off... which is what they want, but it means criminals gain power! In this case, the innocent man got shot... and cops didn't follow the rules. The problem in emotional flames is systemic mistreatment of people, namely black people feel it, but it is general abuse of police vs citizens. There is a long list of changes needed, not one. Needs measured, needs enforced. I have many ideas. here's a few:
A) Ban use of knee to neck. knee to back acceptable for control. Individuals life under police control... they are responsible for their well being. Good luck getting this one passed... B) Social police. we need community leasons who engage the public, help them and soften the transition from police to citizen so they aren't viewed as the enemy. Will be a bitch of a job... that's why it's done by draft and all citizens will perform this role:) Ok.. maybe only some who have the skills. There is no way around the fact that a uniform is a "trigger" for people... any uniform. C) We may have to have "race" escalation within police. E. g. if person requests black cop for their own security, have to call one so they feel safe
Society: 1) Crime is not acceptable:) If commiting crime, owning stolen property 2) mental health and counseling 3) Training in how to handle police, laws, rights. Practice until right 4) Paddling in schools, teachers enact discipline
This is a big, multi fasceted problem. look at the behavior of the rioters and ask yourself... if you would employ them? Ask them for dinner at your house? I'd guess not. There is a breakdown in morals/values.. drugs, human trafficking is real, theft... as people strive to survive in a collapsing country and live like the kings above them that are doing so well... social disparity is great. That is a feeder root to the problem. Policies to get people back into the right side of society. Easy... nope. I'm not exactly sure how you can get Australian citizenship but there are a few ways. I couldn't tell you that it will help you though. This incident has even had a flow on effect here now. Particularly when it comes to the unfair treatment of aborigines. A protest for George was even staged in Sydney last night. Luckily it didn't turn to violence or vandalism but I am hearing another one is planned for later in the week. The Australian protestors are out of their element if you ask me. People are tense and hostile and cause destruction bc the American mind is degraded so bad it’s disgusting. Every person is sick from the poisoning of ancestors. The True people want the right to live on the land they been given without exclusion from mainly white oppressors who benefit from excluding and control. The solution is reform. Reform in police brutality law and in the system in general.

Then it becomes a vicious cycle of poverty which is hard to break out of because they are not exposed to the right circles to make connections and most high paying jobs are aquired through connections.
The Cinderella story is more or less a myth. I know from experience as a woman raised in a lower working class family, you can get as many college degrees as you want, but without the right connections and social circles, it's difficult to find white collared jobs.

Take for example Colin Powell. He was from the South Bronx, a poor area and his parents were immigrants from Jamaica.
He rose through the ranks to eventually become a general, then the national security adviser and eventually the Secretary of State. As you know, he’s black. I’m sure he didn’t have many connections or opportunities. How did he manage? Hard work and dedication. He has many military medals, which as you know are earned, not given. If he can do it anyone else can too if they’re willing to make the sacrifices and have the dedication.

I worked very hard in my life too and got nowhere. As a woman, I was constantly sexually harrassed and bc these higher social circles are mainly comprised of men, I couldn't make professional connections bc they were trying to pull the casting couch game. And women in these circles wouldn't talk to me because of jealousy (being very good looking).
So, not everyone can get to the top just by hard work when there is discrimination involved. And black people probably have similar stories, but we wouldn't know unless we ask them

Second we have ANTIFA, a violent left wing terrorist group that is initiating all of these riots (or most of them), and they are trying to create as much of a divide as possible (because they want to rebuild the world in their very socialistic authoritarian image and the only way to do that is by tearing down our society).

We elected Eisenhower who was a quarter black in the fifties. WE are the only nation in the world to put a minority as the most powerful person in the nation etc. etc. etc.).
This is entirely political, its being driven by the far left and the media is trying to ramp it up as they always have (I mean if they where being honest they would point out that the cop knew the victim, had actually worked with him as a bouncer as a club and we have no reason to presume this guy was racially motivated (seems from the fact that he had many complaints against him that he was just a sociopathic power drunk asshole)). That's also why most of the people who have been arrested have all been out of state, they don't even live in these cities.
So the thing they want is the complete removal of the united states and have it replaced with their socialist "utopia" that they are convinced they can pull off even though no one else ever has. Those who are pissed off about the racial issues, want to have everything in the world handed to them and to never be held accountable for their actions (as over 50% of all violent crime and robberies are commited by blacks despite them being 13% of the population, and that 40% of all officer killings are done by blacks to the point where an officer is more likely to die from a black man then a black man is to be killed by an officer (despite the narrative that is pushed)).
This is what happens when your culture gets subverted by outside forces (and is why some have been saying that the soviets won the cold war, because they poisoned the well and now have completely infected the country by brainwashing our youth and using our own media against us to push their agenda).
I am not protesting. Though I do think the cop did murder Floyd and ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Here is what I think most people are protesting about:
Make believe racism. Most blacks in America have a victim mentality. They believe institutionalized racism exists and that the police are inherently racist against blacks. Neither of these things are true. Institutionalized racism certainly does not exist. Why if I even use the dreaded “N” word while typing this I’m sure my account will be shut down and I’ll be censured before I can even hit send. We live in a time where blacks get preferential hiring treatment (affirmative action.) We live in a time where anyone criticizing minorities must preface the statement with “I’m not racist or anything, but...”. Donald Sterling owned the LA Clippers. He was banned from the NBA for life for making racial remarks. So not even the rich and powerful are immune from ostracization for making racial remarks. We live in a time where people will be fired in a heartbeat for making even making a remark perceived to be racist. Let me ask you, does this sound like institutionalized racism running rampant to you?
But due to victim mentality and blaming every issue black America faces on whites and racism anytime a black man dies at the hands of a white cop, objectivity is out the window and racism is certainly the cause. Without any examination of the evidence. Chauvin has been indicted and arrested. Justice is on its way to being served, but it’s never enough for people who have had it in their minds that every problem they face is the fault of whites and racism and never because of personal decisions.
That lack of personal accountability is exactly what makes it fine to loot and destroy. If one has the belief their being done wrong and their personal actions have no bearing on their life’s circumstances, then certainly expecting such people to act appropriately is something that won’t happen.

I will also add that I believe many in America, of all races, to include a few blacks share my view. The problem is no one dare say it in public for fear of being denounced as a racist. Somehow being a racist had become nearly equal if not worse to being a murder, rapist, extortionist, thief or child molester. Being a racist has somehow become the worst thing a person can be, and while I certainly think no race is better or superior to another race, and that racism is in fact wrong, I find in hard to see how it’s the worst thing a person can be.
In regards black men being killed by police, not all of the events of the last 5 years or so were racist. I believe Michael Brown was justifiable killed after assaulting that police officer in Ferguson and attempting to take that officers firearm. He was shot when he then decided to run back at the cop presumably to assault him further. Sorry, there’s no racism there. There’s also no racism in the case of the killing of Freddie Gray. We must not forget that 2 of the 6 officers on that arrest were in fact black. But never mind that fact. We’ll just call it racism and jump to conclusions and burn down the city of Baltimore citing racist police as the impetus for that case of rioting and looting.
The shooting of Breonna Taylor was not racist. It was a terrible tragedy no doubt, but the police had the wrong house.
In the current situation there was an Asian and Hispanic cop present when Floyd died. Am I to believe they were all in on it together... to you know... kill a black man? Hardly. I think what you have is instances of bad policing not institutionalized racism in most cases where a black man dies at the hands of a white cop.
Their solution is to destroy buildings and businesses of innocent people to cause Civil Unrest and Political leverage against The president and any republican candidates that are pro police. They want to see a rise out of cops so they look bad in the “protests” but the instigators are usually those peaceful protesters which are pro Black lives matter activists. Then you have a mix of Anarchists taking advantage as well for looting and all that, so Antifa joins the crowd to cause more mayhem.

They don't want a solution. What they want is a riot, so that's what they're doing, it's that simple. They've already got what they want. It's not really about Floyd or racism. They were cooped up for two months, especially in the blue states and their tyrannical governors --where all these big cities are. They felt over the lockdowns and here was an excuse to release all that frustration so they are, nothing more to it. There are some genuinely peaceful protestors in the midst of all this (I think it's a retarded time to try to protest, but okay), but they don't even know what they want. They've been asked and even the protest leaders just say they don't know. They're just marching around because they feel the need to get out and move -- to do something, anything. But even the attempts at a peaceful protest eventually just feed into the rioting crowds. At this point what's even more worth protesting is the rioting -- which has taken more lives and done more damage than the Floyd incident, and you should be protesting that rioting by staying the fuck home while the cops and national guard stomp out the rioting. Once the rioting fizzles then have your peaceful protest.
Please stop using Mr. Floyd as their excuse. This is a direct side effect from eating Tide Pods not racism. 98% of these looters grew up in privilege. Their world went side ways when their parents finally told them they have to get a job to pay for your IPhone. Any semblance of legitimate protest is long gone. That movement got hijacked almost immediately by domestic terrorists. Some would say that they've been planning this for a while and just needed an excuse to do it, and I'm inclined to agree that it looks that way, assuming of course that they we're counting on bandwagon outrage to help out.
Nobody can possibly say that mass looting and destruction of property belonging to people who have absolutely nothing to do with what even happened can be a justified reaction. A huge chunk of the people affected (and killed in some cases) are minorities themselves, so even trying to play some absurd race card is a terrible stretch. This isn't about justice.
And for what it's worth, the cop who allegedly started all of this is currently being charged with murder despite the fact that evidence more closely points toward manslaughter or negligent homicide. That very much panders to the protestors and rioters, but you'll never hear this, or much else in the media because it doesn't fit their agenda.
Probably not a popular opinion but to me this has much more to do with what has been happening in general than with the situation.
In the us (and other western countries) you have: - Education radicalizing people with anarcho communist ideology. - Rich influencers staging protests - Multiple groups orchestrating these riots antifa being a prime example - Censorship censoring critiques on this radicalization making it go off the deep end. - Lack of other time occupations because of the Wuhan flu.
Which then leads to one tragic event acting as a start sign for all these elements to think the time is now as they gamble social cohesion is low enough to overthrow the established order. This is then amplified with people who see the inability for law enforcement to act and act as if there are no rules given the body to enforce these rules is doing to little.
So what needs to be done? Enforcement of power by force but with tact. They need to make sure protesters can protest and monitor them but ultimately leave them alone. If riots happen arrest the rioters. Do warning messages and crowd control techniques to get the message across the fun is over and use lethal force if absolutely nessesary.
Luckily there is a good aspect about all this, the bet the social cohesion is low is wrong. This is only the case in democratic areas given these people oppose Trump. This is not a majority so it's not sustainable and will eventually burn itself out. Both with law enforcement eventually gaining control and with the peaceful protesters being done. It will make it easier to arrest the looters.
Then once inevetably things go back to normal fix your system. Track who funded the riots. Track which groups and organisations are involved. And ban radical doctrine at the education facilities because they should not be teaching teens to overthrow the establishment.
Well here's the thing I'm not sure if it's fair to call it a hate crime. Don't get me wrong what happened was terrible and unjust.
But the officer could've just been an all round bad cop. Like who knows he might've abused his power against white people.
But just so happens he was caught this time and the guy was black.

I've seen a post on Instagram where idiots were orchestrating a smash and loot at my local Target.
And I've seen videos where there were mobs running towards businesses. But as soon as they heard gun shots in the air they scattered like cockroaches.
And I saw another video just today where two parents turned in their kid to the cops for being part of the riot and lighting a cop car on fire.
I don't know if kids are like the masterminds behind this dumb shit but if they are the parents need to beat their ass.

People who are racist feed off of it because its based on trying to be superior to the inferior, they get the feeling of a sense of accomplishment and entitlement by belittling others feels good. There were buildings looted and destroyed, hurt buisness owners cleaning up the glass, dumpsters on fire being put out by fire departments, swat officers getting ready for the next wave of people, and that smoke in the air from buildings on fire and dumpsters was bad, I sleep days, I woke up and you just feel weak and sick, I feel bad for those fire departments that weren’t wearing masks, I nor my brother were wearing a mask. Probably should have.
And some guy apparently tried to redeem the wallet at the gas station so they called the number to make sure it was the guys. It wasn’t... thankfully a cop was in the gas station

You can't honestly believe that all riots are started by police. Just because there's a few instances of evidence of it happening doesn't mean that all riots are a started by police. I'd say that there's many more instances of non-police instigated riots taking place on the internet than those started by police. Also, I know with 100% certainty that if I observed a cop smashing something with a brick that it would not make me want to destroy property and steal things. People are in control of their actions and making conscious decisions to destroy and steal. No amount of evidence that other people are also doing the wrong thing will ever persuade me to believe that destroy and looting innocent people's property is justified.

What needs to be done --- Donald Trump should assure people justice for George Floyd and say he will only allow proceeding with Derek Chauvin's murder case when people stop rioting. This will separate the ones taking advantage of this opportunity to loot from those who are outraged for the cause.
They aren't protesting, they're looting and using the death of an innocent person as justification for it and standing over his grave, as the left constantly does to victims.

I'm unsure if how I feel about extending police training. 99% of police are doing just fine not killing people unnecessarily. Training on how not to use lethal force would he great, but I assume they already do that. Training on culture bias is silly. I hate to take it here but it you really want to talk culture, we can bring up crime statistics and the most popular songs of certain "cultures" and we can analyze the lyrics to come to a conclusion on what certain cultures are like. And I think if it's reasonable, equipping police with a gun with rubber bullets and a gun with actual bullets would be nice, assuming they can reliably pull out the one they intended to. But to only outfit police with ones with rubber bullets when "protesters" turn into "rioters" is just a foolishly optimistic and equally stupid mistake.
My point is thugs are gonna thug, eventually they will have looted all the flat screens, 40 OZ' beers, Newport cartons, and whatever else is necessitated by "injustice".
