Why do you think there are notable levels of racism here in America?

I think America is one of the least racist countries in the world today. Racism exist, just like in any country... but it's minimal. Politicians and the media directly gain from pushing and selling the narrative that America is racist. I've looked at this issue long and hard with a lot of research, and my conclusion is that this is propaganda push for political power. They're reintroducing a lighter form of segregation known as identity politics, and it's dividing our country and destroying it. The democrats are now saying that it's racist to not look at black people different as being color-blind is not the solution. I personally don't judge anyone based on race as I think it's a terrible way to gauge who someone is. A black kid growing up in the Hamptons will surely be different than a black kid growing up in Compton CA. I judge people based on their individual values and how they treat others. Democrats tell me this is racist. At this point, their entire narrative is a joke lol. It's comical to see these people in action at this point.
Clearly because of history. Beliefs keep being passed down generation to generation. White people of the past still have influence on this day and age. What they started still into dead but the idea of race and racism isn't that old in comparison to all of history.
It is also because the country is not represented equally and kids are not taught things in a way to prevent such beliefs as well. For example, we don't really talk about native americans in the same way people talk about jews. But the same thing happen to them. They faced genocide but he don't talk about it the same as jews. In fact we celebrate Columbus even though he didn't really discover the Americas. We are indoctrinated in very subtle ways. I could easily fix a white racist intellectually as it relates to black people. I can't fix them emotionally though which is the more important side. The beliefs they have run deep. I mean the issue is in so many places tbh and a lot of it is subtle at this point. Things most people don't even know about. Time will fix it though.
It is taught through media and parents.
Some are just mentally disturbed people who can't grasp that because some people of a race does something they don't like doesn't mean all do it
U do realize there are more than 1 set of opinions on social media and with parents.
If you allow the racist opinions on social media and media to be what you believe or you have racist parents you usually become racist.
Yes, I do realize that. In fact, that was precisely the point. You said that A
There are notable levels of racism in America because "raciam is taught through media and parents." And I could use the very same logic to say "there aren't notable levels of racism in America because racism is demonized through media and parents," which it is.
So u decided 2 assume that my statement means that there are no other opinions than racism.
Bruh😂😂😂
U didn't use logic when trying 2 dispute or prove a point.
Goodbye 👍🏾
There are people who fight racism on social media and there are racist people on social media, two opposition they both exist. Just because someone is telling you not to be a racist twat on social media it doesn't mean your racist posts doesn't exist or they are not racist. Racism is being opposed, yet it still exists...
Because America is built on racism. Without dehumanizing, exploiting, and mass genocide of poc this country wouldn't be where it is today
Surely your not dumb enough to believe were the only country harboring racist ideas lmao.
@VanillaSalt oh no i know it's a global thing lol
Then why did you single America out?
That wasn’t quite right let me rephrase. Knowing am countries are built on fundamental value and knowing a world with value will always have someone or something worth less... how can you call America out?
@VanillaSalt The question was about America, was it not? This country was built on slavery and never paid reparations, did it not? Like what are you taking about
Neither did any other country. What does slavery have to do with racism? Seems to me people thought they were better than someone then chose to make them slaves not the other way around.
@VanillaSalt i haven't got the slightest idea what you're trying to say. What does slavery have to do with racism? What doesn't it have to do with racism? Do you understand the dehumanizing? And once again the question asked about America so why are you on my neck?
Because you don’t know wtf your talking about lol. Slavery is a byproduct of racism yet you say that something caused by racism is the cause of racism in America. You comprehend how stupid that sounds right
@JDavid25 true! The slave traders maintained an outdated system with slaves. It served its purpose but eventually the system and slavery as a result was ended. If they keep pushing these socialist and communist points though slavery might well come back for us all. Just look at what democrats are doing pushing for segregation. Wth I thought men and women black and white fought to end segregation? Also though I argue they shouldn’t have. Blacks had their own economy and lifestyles back then that in many cases surpassed their white counterparts.
I argue it wasn’t slavery but instead desegregation and the distribution of crack by the cia that broke blacks. But at this point enabling segregation would only make things worse.
@VanillaSalt Of course.. Most definitely.. These communist measures definitely would assist in bringing back some type is slavery or strong oppression.. Nd it definitely wasn't slavery that "broke "Black" people" It was the welfare state.. Even after Slavery "Black" people were in tact.. They were slowly but surely building themselves up.. But then the welfare state hit and messed many up..
@JDavid25 yes sometimes we need help but relying on that help keeps us down. Took me years to break from that system myself. You need something more alluring. For me it was 7-8x the money what the state offered me. These issues arnt just black issues though. Their people issues. Weak people issues. It’s heard to be strong but together we could overcome this kinda bs. That’s why their pushing such division. Together were strong. Their going to learn this soon if this keeps up.
How does it having been partially built on racism mean there are notable amounts of racism today? Like with youe logic, you could say that if I have a slave, make him build a house, then even though my son abolishes slavery, my great-great-great-grandson who lives in that house is racist since the house was built on racism.
America is probably the least racist country in the world. I have lived all over the globe. A lot of countries have much less diversity than ours. When I was in Germany, I rarely saw a non-white person, that's change more now but many countries are still less diverse.
@CrazyAwesome you triggered the conservative snow flakes 😭🤦🏽♀️
@doopayo The thing is it wasn't built on Racism.. It was built on Freedom.. Slavery was a worldwide institution at the time, and people just implemented what was normal at the time.. They had rules they lived by.. Slavery was seen as a necessary evil even by people in the South, and slavery caused racism because the intellectuals made up a reason as to why it was okay for people to be enslaved in a land where "All men are created equal" and "Land of the free" So they made up the idea or race based on Skin color and basically said that "Black's" were the most inferior to excuse slavery and not really "men".. The actual first Slave Owner in the 13 Colonies was a "Black" man named Anthony Johnson I think..
@Abtraction Aw yeah that happens..
Besides this... America is racist in the opposite direction now. Giving someone priority in college over someone else based off race is racist.
So was virtually every country built on dehumanizing, exploiting, and mass genocide.
@US-Agent88 yep the world has conflict. it's getting to the point it's not worth talking to anyone under 20. Most of them just don't know anything.
@Abtraction agreed. Its like the history of the world. Victim culture is powerful in America right now where a person's worth is how many victim points they score. A few weeks ago a woman with her immigrant husband claimed they were they were fleeing racism because a foreign government and the husband's wasn't supporting them financially to live in America.
@US-Agent88 agree, blame society for everything wrong in your life, instead of self reflection and accountability. If you get knocked down, then get back up.
@Abtraction exactly right. We see POC immigrating here with nothing but the clothes they have on and become a success while others here blame racism for their failures.
@US-Agent88 lmao, yep. I know so many legal immigrants who came here with a suitcase and a few bucks. They now have a nice home, family, and a good career and love America.

We have many players whose livelihood depends on the continuity of racism.
no, but I do think a big problem is blacks are led to believe that society is racist against them, and white liberals perpetuate it, along with democrats the real racist party. This is further helped with welfare, affirmative action and lack of school choice (Charter Schools). When a person is led to believe at a young age, these things stunt their progress. I would suggest that people spend several hours on youtube watching Thomas Sowell a black man who has studied all these things his whole life, a truly amazing person who gives me hope that American will someday get past this notion that America is a racist country. If you haven't studied Thomas Sowell you are completely ignorant the subject.
I think it's because racism in the past has caused the inequality that affects where people start their lives today. People now days have a hard time accepting the fact that, regardless of where they started in life, they play a pretty big role in where things end up. It's easier and more convenient to say "my dad was poor since he couldn't get a job because he's black, so it shouldn't surprise anyone if I end up poor because I need a helping hand," than it is to say "my dad was denied opportunity and education because of his skin color, but I will not let that stop me because I can get education." Well if my life doesn't work out, it makes me feel better if I can simply say that it was out of my hands. I never stood a chance at being successful because I had to overcome the resentment and frustration that was instilled in me by the injustice my father suffered.
Because we're probably the only nation on this entire planet with massive numbers of multiple races. Most other countries at like 90%+ one ethnicity and then little bits of other ethnicities.
Even with that being said, it's worse in other places. I've read about racism in China and it's way worse than here, but since we live here we only think and talk about here.
I think it has to do with the idea that all that's forbidden is desired.
All your life they tell you it's bad to be racist which makes you want to be racist, same as smoking or eating junk food. You get warned they are bad but that doesn't stop you from wanting as much as you can have
The only solution to accept racism as a personal opinion, once being racist doesn't make you a badass for breaking the rules people will naturally stop being racsit as it no longer gives them the kicks they would normally get
Because liberal politicians keep bringing up phony inequality issues. If they stopped interfering with things like welfare and public housing and crap like that. And then heavily penalize racial and gender discrimination in hiring. Then everyone would have a real chance at the American dream. Every application I filled out for a job when I was younger ask for race and gender. This things should never be considered in hiring.
The truth is that the reason race is still such an issue in the USA is liberal politicians using minorities to get elected and maintain power. They don't have a chance otherwise because they have no clue how to manage money or anything required to be a responsible representative of the people and there best interests.
1. How else can democrats get elected?
2. because we have laws that give certain groups extra rights so naturally the other group resents it,
3, Because different races might not be automatically compatible, certain dog breeds would be unlikely to get along if placed together with other selected dog breeds
No, there hasn't been been notable since maybe the 60s.. It's been on life support for a while..
Name something that you think is systemically racist in the USA?
I realize the question could be interpreted in more than one way. To be clear, I don't think America has notable levels of racism and I'm wondering why people think there is.
But I realize or could be interpreted that I am asserting that there is notable levels of racism and inquiring on what others may think the causes are. But to be clear, that's not what I meant.
College admissions. Far too many Asians can't get in because colleges have filled their Asian quota.
Special treatment. Like apparently it's OK to be racist towards a person if they are white.
Intersectionality and critical race theory are literally state funded systemic racism.
Because blacks especially have a you owe me attitude and expect handouts and think their shit don’t stink
If they really want true equality they’d get rid of affirmative action
I dont think America is as racist as the Federal government portrays us to be. IF we stay divided on race, class and religion we will be to preoccupied squabbling amongst ourselves while our overlords expand their reach/.
Because liberals and other race obsessed people keep racism and hatred alive.
Yes they do by keeping affirmative action
I find it hard to respect someone who talks slang, has his trousers hanging, so his underpants can be seen and picks on you if you dared to look in to his eyes.
Respect should be earned.
The fact that maybe many people dislike blacks not bevause if a skin color. Why is it always blacks that are mistreated and never Chinese or Latinos?
Blacks? Umm.. if someone dislikes an entire group of people just based on race than they’re ignorant and ofc it’s based on skin color. And Latino isn’t a race.. I’m black and Latino so you can literally be Latino and be apart of any racial background.
Also, Chinese are definitely mistreated. The amount of hate crimes against Asians have increased drastically because of covid
I think it's just because people are dumb. That's why crimes are high, more people becoming homeless, and just overall bad decisions being made.
I feel like Americans enjoy the drama of racism, discrimination, etc. Where I'm from we don't give a fuck and there's nothing on the news, because we don't care.
No, the media and Dems need to permit it the "fix" it
Tocqueville said Africans would perpetually hate White Americans because of the shame of slavery, and it would last basically forever.
