Is there still much racism in the States?

Yeah. The right discovered they can be racist ironically and it's too baffling for anyone to call them out effectively. Of course, it depends on lots of funding which the billionaires who just want to have more money are happy to provide..

I will say racism in America does seem overall less potent than anywhere else, though. Or at least it did until Trump came along and validated all the ironic hate right wing media pumped people full of because Obama is black. But even then the whole world seems to have lurched to the right, so even as bad as it is here I suspect the rest of the world is worse.

There is. But it's more on stereotypical levels than exactly being systematic (although that still exists too).

Being black, I hate that people view me and other black men as violent and criminal. Yes, black crime is a thing, but white men shooting up schools and malls is too. I also hate people viewing us as predators, or as always looking to sleep with non-black women. And it gets even worse when you have the white men who are aggressively possessive of their gfs and think you must be trying to snag her just because he sees you talking to her, not even knowing what we're talking about or if we were even friends from the beginning.

But nowadays the racist treatment of Latinos and middle easterners in the U. S. is pretty bad too. Although it's done in ways to try to get over on them with employment, especially if they don't know a lot of English.

It's purposeful division.. Everything was okay until Obama got in office and the race hustlers came with him.. And now everything is "White Supremacy", "Systemic racism" and so on and so forth.. It got even worse in 2020 with the whole George Floyd thing and then they went on and on about police brutality.. Now "White" people are the only evil force in the Universe it seems.. It's just Marxist goofiness..

Because the reporting is often one-sided and filtered or censored anyway, it is difficult to understand if you don't pay much attention to politics and listen to different opinions in order to get the best possible picture.

I think racism today is less overt. Most racism today I think is institutional and stems from decades of systemic racist policies.

For example I don't think it's remotely debatable that thier are two tiers of justice in the justice system. White justice and black or minority justice.

There is less racism in any Western country than the rest of the world. Try telling Indians in India they're racist or Turks in Turkey they're racist. They will just laugh at you and maybe even agree.
