Sure there are lots of different examples of "black violence," as you say, but violence isn't a trait that only fits black people. If you look online you could find thousands of fucked up things done by white people, Asian people, Islamic people, and yes black people.
However, this does not mean that all black people, all white people, all Asian people and all Islamic people are violent and seek out violence.
There will also be millions and millions more cases and videos online of people, including black people, doing acts of kindness, not seeking out violence and being normal people.
What I'm trying to say is that fearing black people more than fearing other groups of people is ridiculous and racism is more an ingrained social problem that goes way back to when slaves were still common and black people have been targeted ever since.

The majority of US violent criminals do have darker skin, but to assume they are criminals because of their skin color is racist. Not all darker skinned people are racist or criminals. However, people from single mother poorer families tend to grow up to be violent offenders. These problems tend to befall the black community, but even white violent offenders come from similar backgrounds. It deals from a lack of discipline in the household. Also the mistrust with authorities leads to a greater amount of conflict with authorities. People aren't criminals because of their skin color, but single mother households raise more criminals.

High-density areas of poverty have the highest crime rates, and those areas typically have the highest density of black Americans.
So crime is more about socio-economics, than race/ethnicity.
