No can't see fireworks cause of COVID-19 we are on lockdown
this is a serious matter and the cases are getting worse and people
are dying you know in Texas the ICU has 91% cases in the ICU
some of them will recover but most will die.. I don't want get

I’ve traveled the world and have been to other countries and I can tell you that while far from perfect the USA is still one of the best countries to live in. And that ass clowns rant you post about “excessive force” from cops needs to spend some time in Mexico and other 2nd/3rd world countries to really see what police brutality/corruption is like. At least in the USA if you aren’t breaking the law like a moron there is a 99.9999% chance you will be left unmolested by law enforcement. Not true in other countries with corrupt governments and law enforcement

I’m not American but I don’t celebrate Canada Day either. I’m thankful for the healthcare that we have (although the 6hr waits at the hospital are horrible) but that’s pretty much it. Cost of living is up the roof, many people have no roofs, unemployment is at it’s all time high, racism, sexism, classism is still a thing.. the only benefit to being a Canadian currently is the fact that we can use our passports to travel to many places and live which is exactly what many people are doing.

im sure there are other Canadians who might not agree and they can post their own views.

July 4th is Independence Day.

We need to remember that freedom isn’t free and those that gave their lives in the Revolutionary War to uphold this American Dream and keep it alive truly lived & died & served as heroes under the command of their beloved General Washington.

You don’t have to love the direction this country is going towards or the current president or what happened at the debates or SCOTUS, etc…. However I strongly encourage you to celebrate for our veterans, those that gave their life for this dream, and the long beautiful / complicated history of The United States of America. God Bless our troops and our country. Love all Americans whether celebrating or not because at the end of the day, we are all the same faith, gender, religion, ethnicity under the label ‘American’ as President George Washington put it best. P. S. What you shared is complete BS since the post was written during the pandemic against Donald J Trump (who was the current president at the time)
I celebrated July 4th even during that time period (without big gatherings obviously) because of what I wrote. America is an idea passed down and to not celebrate the anniversary would be a crime against our history / our story.
