Jewish and Non Jewish Germans looked pretty much the same. Why did the Germans go insane in WWII with the killing?

As a german who spent quite a bit of time trying to understand what lead to WW2 I came to the following timeline (simplified).
- WW1 loss. Versailles treaty that gave Germany all the blame for WW1 and having to pay for it. The country was in ruins since the war was mostly on german soil.
- The octover revolution in 1917 with the death of the Tsar and the overtaking of the bolshevisks (that will become important later)
- The Weimar republic degrading massively due to financial burdens as well as a lack of cohesive union. Read up on the state of Berlin pre-WW2, if you want. Essentially it was the place to go to get all your perversions satisfied in Europe. Wanted to have a prostitute with less than 4 limbs, a midget or mother-daughter? Yeah, Berlin was the place.
- 1925 the Italian fascists took over, because they refused to have an international communism and wanted a national one. Around the same time Lenin stated that Germany is the most important place geopolitically to sperad communism all over Europe.
- Increase of communistic violence, the KPD and SPD were in charge of Germany (communistic and socialistic parties), the founding of Antifa happened. Increase of violence by left-wing radicals happened. Including a couple of murders.
- Grand depression happens. Mass inflation in Germany so people can't even afford food anymore with their wages. Still having to pay back WW1 payments.
.
Then comes the NSDAP. Providing reasonable answers, giving people some sort of hope and putting the blame on communism and jews - which makes sense to a certain extent. The biggest threat during that time was the push of communism from the UDSSR towards Germany vs. the capitalistic west with Germany being the battleground of the two. As it turns out, a huge number of high-rankged bolshevisks were jewish. So were a lot of banksters who were part to blame for the mass inflation.
As a result capitalists on the west, communists on the east and jews were a "logical" enemy. It's not like people one day wake up and think "hey, let's start a genocide". Eventually this all lead to an increase of anger and hatred and we know how it escalated from there.
And make no mistake. As much as the eastern spread of communism was a threat to Germany - and it was as Lenin and later Stalin clearly were out for blood and wanted to conquer Europe - which just a couple of years have been proven by Putin opening up the russian archives, Hitler and the NSDAP were still socialists themselves and thus also hated capitalism and liberty.
Before people say "hurr durr, this wasn't socialism". Yes, it was. Just NATIONAL socialism rather than the international brand. Inspired by Mussolini.
- Read the NSDAPs 25 Points plan
Point 11 of it: Breaking of the interest slavery
Point 13&14 of it: Making businesses be owned by the government
Point 15 of it: Increase of welfare for the elders
Point 16 of it: Socialization of the equivalent of todays shopping malls
Point 19 of it: Removing the materialistic world order (=anti capitalistic)
Point 20 of it: Support of equal access of education (not exactly a bad thing)
Point 21 of it: Better medical care, forbidding child labour, protection of mothes and children (not a bad thing, either)
Point 24 of it: Removing private ownership
- Additionally they decreased costs of medical care and medical drugs
- All labour unions were made into one union (Deutsche Arbeitsfront)
- Tax exemption for low income households. In return single, childless and wealthy people were taxed higher. Taxes were increased from 20 to 40 (and later 55%) for businesses. Essentially what the modern left is demanding on taxing the wealthier.
- Implementing child benefits
- Extra money for working on saturdays and sundays and during nights
- To get support for the attack on the UDSSR the pensions were increased once more by quite a margin (I think it was 10 or 15%)
- Pensioners were automatically health insured.
And now comes the important part: How was this financed? By taking it away from the wealthy with government force, disowning them. And of course war-pillaging.
Oh yeah, the best part is. The wealthy that were disowned were less than half a million. So disowning those to "benefit" the other 60 million within the population wasn't an issue for means of voting results, etc. Sounds oddly familiar, right?
So the idea to kill all Jewish people came from the feeling that a disproportionate number of them were high ranking bankers that screwed up the economy and or Communists? That's pretty incredible and everybody just ran with that idea. It seems it would be easier to just go after bankers and communists but I see your point.
I was thinking it might be something even more dumb like revenge for Jesus.
Well, they ALSO did go after bankers and communists. But yes, pretty much it.
You have to understand the state Germany was in back then, though. We today can eat, have shelter, etc. But when those things are at risk - and they were including people losing their shelter, then any explanation that helps you get better is a good explanation.
Think of it like a theatre play where the tension and suspense curve increase steadily until the climax. The climax was a genocide and world war 2 in this instance, but what lead to it was the stuff that happened before. Again, as I said, people don't wake up one day and want to start a world war and a genocide. This doesn't happen within days nor weeks, not even months. It takes several years to go there until the breaking point is reached. Like a hungry and cornered animal that either gives up or starts attacking everything around it.
It's no excuse for what happened - but I think we too often miss out and don't even ask the question of what lead to things and just go by "people were just bad". Yeah, no. Most people don't want war to begin with, let alone kill others.
There were reasons why the German people distrusted Jews.
In Germany, there were many Jew in academia, government, business and especially banking. Jews owned something like 9/10 of banks. So German distrust wasn't based on latent racism. If anything, there was dislike of Judaism by Christians. But still, everybody got along.
Germany was devastated by WWI, a war that was entirely engineered by British elites to wreck Germany. Afterwards, Germany and Germany alone was blamed for the war and saddled with reparations. Then the global depression hit in 1929.
Due to devastation from the war and reparations, the depression hit Germany very hard. Inflation went insane and German people were literally dying in the streets from starvation. It was a horrendous time.
At the height of all this, Zionists who claimed to represent "world Jewry", held huge rallies in 1933 to encourage a boycott on German goods. Hitler wasn't even in power yet.
When Hitler finally came into power, he brought back manufacturing and revitalized the economy in many ways. He was rabidly anti-communist and knew that many Bolsheviks were Jews. He saw what they had done to Russia and didn't want them causing trouble in Germany. He also knew about the Rothschild global banking system.
His anti-Jewish rhetoric resonated with the German people because they saw rich Jews during a time when other Germans were starving. They blamed Jewish bankers (Rothschild's and their minions) for manipulating the depression and capitalizing on German people. They knew about the calls to boycott German goods and starve the German people. And they feared Bolshevism. So, in the same way that Americans were okay with rounding up Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor, it's not surprising that Germans considered Jews to be potential enemies.
When the war began, it should be remembered that Jews were a minority of those who were persecuted. Slavs, Gypsies, gays, Catholics, communists, dissenters and some academics were also rounded up. It wasn't so much about anti-semitism. Hitler used fear to influence public opinion.
It didn't happen because of their looks but their nepotism

It wasn't about race, antisemitism for most was religiously motivated.
In Europe, Christians persecute Jews for rejecting Jesus, and in the Middle East they do the same for rejecting Muhammad.
Despite the fact that Christianity and Islam are both rip-offs of Judaism.
Funny how that goes.
From my understanding 1900s antisemitism is much like today's. The idea is that jews mostly serve themselves to the detriment of those around them, and that they manipulate the inner workings of society, instilling flaws and sabotaging things so that they can take over one day.
This is well documented in many history books and studies on the Holocaust. Even Mein Kempt by Adolf Hilter has passages talking about the reasons.
It is too long a subject to be brief discussed here in any depth and correct manner.
The historically pattern of one group blaming another for all its problems is the basis for the starting point of the discussion on why this happened. The full study is an interwoven tale of Jewish persecution since Moses led his people out of Egypt.
Actually most of them didn't look like the Germans but that's no reason to do what they did. It was about cultural differences and xenophobia. The Jews weren't very assimilated and were still viewed as foreigners by some. It was easier to drum up hatred against them because of those things and because they were made scapegoats for things like WWI
The German Revolution of 1918.
There's a reason they don't teach anything about the interwar years in school. In ANY country.
I searched and searched but found nothing. The only plausible cause is that Jews were disproportionately high income and successful and they envied them, exactly like how leftists are today.
Why did the jews destroy half the European continent with their communist revolutions after an already disastrous first world war and then declared war on Germany for defeating the communist uprising?
If you can find out why the German people went crazy I'd love to know because it cost a lot of the paternal grand mother line their lives.
The same reason White Americans think BLM is a terrorist organisation.
the Jews weren't protesting the police before the Nazi party decided to kill them, I don't see the analogy
State propaganda
Because of Hitler, he was the largest anti-semitic ever. Interesting fact, some generals in SS had Jewish grandparents
because they needed someone to blame for their troubles after ww1, and Hitler told them that it was the Jews fault
Basically because Hitler blamed the Jews for Gemany losing WW1.
It was done for economic reasons...
the money, they wanted the money
Because Adolf Hitler was demon possessed and demanded murder and torture.
Religion is the root of all evil!
