In your personal experience are liberals more fun and exciting to be around socially than conservatives who come off as boring and uptight?

I had a conservative friend in high school, he was a good dude, but he was mad boring and rigid to me as I tend to notice among conservatives. In college all my friends were liberal and fun to be around and party with but were raging homophobics.

I’ve had the opposite experience. Then again, most of my drunken party days were in the Marine Corps and in a college that’s was filled with other conservatives. High energy crowds in other words. Liberals at times make me uncomfortable at social gatherings because a lot of them are offended very easily and have a lot of trigger points.


One of my best buds is black and we make racial jokes towards each other at times. I’m half Mexican, and my Mexican side of the family makes fun of Mexican stereotypes all the time. I couldn’t see those jokes going down too well in front of a woke liberal ahah. I definitely watch my wordage around lefties a lot more so than fellow conservatives.

In my personal experience? Absolutely. Conservatives wouldn't have much fun here in Seattle, they would be too busy complaining about the gay couples.

More of the opposite actually. Many of individuals on the left that I met are extremely judgmental. Some are unhinged enough to complain on Facebook that all men are rapists all the time. Most of the republican/conservative friends tend to be a lot more laid back and easy to get along with.

In my experience, political views have nothing do with how fun a friend is, but my liberal friends are positively totalitarian about others‘ political and social views so you have to be careful about discussing anything related to that with them.

Please give me a show or a stand up comedian you find funny that is conservative? Rick and morty, Simpsons, Futurama, Modern Family, Seinfeld, and most if not all comedy shows are liberal. And so are all the best stand ups, I can't name you a single big name comedian that is conservative, and the two that I do know are family friendly and thus not even funny. Conservatives are the first to be offended and cause an uproar.
