Sometime for the better, sometimes for the worse.
As a guy, I rarely do this and I believe most guys are quite like me (?). Sure, I think about what my partner has told me and all, but it's not a big part of my day and I tend to forget a bunch of details that are nice and fun to share during a conversation but that I don't think are worth keeping long term in my memory. As a guy I tend to focus on the task at hand and have a hard time doing multiple things at once.
But, I do think a lot about the person I'm in love with throughout the day. Just, not analyzing things. Just feeling good thinking about her in a very simple and emotional way.
I'm quite interested to understand why there might be such a difference between genders. Is that a behavior women develop as they grow up? Is it something they have inherently no control over? Is that something that has a clear role in relationships between men and women? Is that a behavior mostly constrained to their guys or is this something women do about everything else as well?
