Yes, forcing air out of an infected person would be dangerous. I was told that covid is transmissible through saliva and feces. This means that the event organizers are giving their blessing to the musicians to blow air through these wind instruments.

Probably, I know from experience that the masks everyone are wearing are effectively useless as they filter out next to nothing they even useless as a dust mask, but I wear one just to keep the local loony 's happy as well as the plods and shop workers happy.
