There is no precedent for impeaching a President after he leaves office, however, there is the Belknap incident back in 1876 involving Grant's Minister of War that led to impeachment after the fact, but acquittal in the Senate.
However, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the House could impeach Trump a second time, or even third on separate charges. They could then pass a law, or pass it first, stating that any President impeach multiple times during their term and not removed, may no longer hold Federal office.
I'm sure that when 2024 roles around, even the Republicans will steer clear of Trump, presuming he wants to run again. Creating a new party if he's eligible to run, is the dream of the Democrats!

if we back up to November the 2nd... I think he could have gotten the GOP nomination in 2024 based on merit.
But all that is gone now, he blew whatever chance he had at another term with how he handled losing this election.
