According to many polls that don't seem to reflect what my own circle of mostly right-leaning friends actually want, Trump will be the shoo-in candidate for the primary in 2024 if he runs.
Personally, I think this is almost entirely because of name recognition, which unfortunately tends to decide elections more often than merits. That isn't to say I wouldn't rather see him back in office than another four years of the current vegetable, but there are better options. For the long term strategy however, picking Trump makes a lot of sense. He'd be running as essentially a lame duck candidate, so whether he wins or loses, it wouldn't really affect the field for the rest of the party over the next four years, and someone they want to groom for the follow-on could be his VP candidate.
Personally, while he says he has "made up his mind" but won't answer the question directly, I'm skeptical that he will run and may instead be just ruffling feathers by teasing the possibility. By 2024, he's going to be pretty high up there in years, and while he certainly has more energy than Biden did 3 years ago let alone now, it's going to catch up with him sooner or later and he knows it. He seems more interested in supporting pro-US politicians nationwide and breaking the big tech power bubble than holding office himself anymore. I also don't think that his kids are particularly interested at this time though one of them may run for a representative seat at some point.

Trump is one of the scariest subjects to have entered American politics. Trump is, in fact, setting himself up very nicely for a swift campaign and potential victory in 2024. He is doing this by changing the rules of the game, primarying non-loyalists out of their jobs in Congress and focusing on state-level politics. So in 2024, when the election results come in Georgia, there won't be a Rafensberger to tell Trump that the results are indeed legit. Instead, we will have people ready to play their roles who are prepared to overturn the election results at the command of Trump himself.
Just today, former Georgia Senator David Perdue announced that he will contest Brian Kemp's gubernatorial nomination from the Republican Party with clear intentions of prepping for the 2024 election. The Republicans are securing the White House, Congress, and the courts for the Don.

Yea I think he will and I think he’ll win to, Democratic have Kamala Harris up next and no one likes her, there actually thinking of nominating her to SCOTUS just to get rid of her as VP she is not popular at all she like the kids who wears glasses has a bunch of acne and snorts glue and sits by her self at lunch you see in cartoons
God Emperor Trump will succeed while crushing his enemies on the way to victory.
It think this guy is done. He has no support by right wing due his Israel friendly politics, remember 39 Billions MIGA bucks. He has zero support by left wing due his image of being a white supremacist. Who would elect a traitor or an enemy if there was another non democrat option?Maybe, but I don't think so. He had his chance and flopped. He could have executive ordered mass deportations of illegal immigrants, and didn't. He banned bump stocks by executive order to please people who hated his guts. He claimed the election was completely stolen but instead of taking bold action he walked off, meaning he's either a liar, or didn't have the stomach to do what had to be done.
I do think he was the best person running in 2016. However he got his shot and failed.I'd like to see Ron DeSantis run in 2024 with Republican insiders installing Trump as Speaker Of The House in 2022. I like Trump but he is getting on in years.
On the other hand, there's Grover Cleveland.I'm hoping both Democrats and Republicans will have some fresh new candidates in 2024, not the same old same old we've had recently.
He is the choice of over 90% of Republicans and he is ready to make the biggest political comeback in US History.
I don't care. Biden and Trump are both white supremacist pigs. Either one will suck.
Hope so. I dont vote yet but why did we change from the best to a group of nitwit idiots. Libtards are sore sore loosers.
Seems like he is going to give it a go.
With all of the Trump haters out there. It would probably be better for someone with Trump’s ideas and policies to run instead.No. I think Trump knows deep down he doesn't have the leverage to win independents like he did back in 2016, so he won't waste his time to run for president but will campaign for other candidates.
I sure as hell hope so!!! After this shit show? Has it been 4 years, yet?
I hope he runs against Kamala-- talk about entertainment.
Because in 2024 he will still be grinding his teeth in a jail cell.
He'll run again because he thinks the shills installed in swing state election boards will overturn the results when he loses again. He's too stupid to know if that corruption were brought to court, he'll lose.
Yes I think trump jr will run because he wants to hold political office and has the name and connections
you poor leftest dogs are hoping no, and it is a big fat yes
Yeah because his ego makes him think he has a good chance of winning again
He's needs to sit down.
Just let ron desantis run and WIN.
Trump has to many controversies fake or not. Plus he's old. There is only a handful of Conservatives I would vote for.
He is one.Eh maybe. Would be nice to see the man pull a Grover Cleveland..
