A woman would naturally behave that way (minus names in the book) when she feels unheard and actually is. So I don't judge without understanding why a person is going off, the same with men. The problem is when a person just an angry person, not caring how they hurt people, can't communicate right, just likes attacking for the hell of it, hellraisers I call such people, I don't hate people. I hate what they do, but I just stay away from them.
If faced with such a person, I politely challenge their ideas in a calm and off-hand manner and, initially, agree with her. This usually calms them down as they are used to being opposed. Then I gently ask her to validate her most outrageous points by asking 'innocent' open questions which lead her to destroy them. It usually takes as much as an hour or so but once the first point is crushed, the rest follow in rapid succession.
