Proportionally, the number of white people is growing smaller, as developing countries (which tend to be nonwhite) usually have higher birthrates than developed countries (which tend to be white). This doesn't mean that white people are "dying out" or "going extinct", since we're still having kids and the overall number of white people is still increasing - it just means that the overall number of people of other races is increasing at a faster rate. The people who claim that we are "going extinct" tend to be racists, who are implying that the logical solution to this imaginary problem is to ban interracial marriage or start killing people who aren't white or something along those lines. If the media you consume is including claims that white people are going extinct, then I might recommend finding different media since that's a very troubling statement to make.

Humans are one species. Subdividing them into groups based on genetics leads to classifications we call "races". But those subdivisions are ultimately arbitrary. For example, if there was a dominant gene that cause death 100% by age 10 it would quickly go extinct. Probably originally, polar bears were brown bears but seals would see them coming from way off but wouldn't see the rare white bear so the brown dominant gene became extinct in polar bears.
