Whataboutism is not new. It was a strategy thought up by socialist left wing propagandists as a strategy for rebutting Western politics, philosophy, etc. But it wasn't very effective back then. In today's political climate however, Biden supporters, democrat propagandists, Muslim extremists, etc. are all using it in some cases successfully. So for the few people at GaG who find themselves in debates with these folks, you have to understand one simple thing, the fact that Biden associates are guilty of crimes has nothing to do with whataboutism when it comes to Trump. No matter what Trump did, it won't change what clinton, Biden or Obama did.

Basically whataboutism occurs when liberals accuse Conservatives of something and Conservatives point out the hypocrisy of what they are saying. For instance Russia stole hillary election, hillary stole Bernie's election.

Because there is a huge double standard in the way Liberals and Conservatives are treated by the Media. I'm a Liberal and I can see it plain as day.

Trump calls for his supporters to "peacefully protest and fight like hell" at the Capitol and accused of inciting an insurrection, while Maxine Waters expressly calls for left wing protestors to get more aggressive and get up in conservatives' faces to tell them to leave; and no formal action has been taken against Waters.

Trump's border detainment facilities were "concentration camps," while those exact same facilities, plus the provisional facilities Biden has set up are "necessary overflow facilities with a questionable track record."

These are just 2 examples, but there are countless others. Our party frequently accuses the other side of doing things that our representation does blatantly.

Because not considering the consequences of a particularly braindead agenda is bound to damage the tissue of society in a bad way. Preventing damage is often times way better than having to repair it afterwards, and that's what some people can't get in their rather vacated skulls.
