No. Modern society is just being able to see more of what is out there and are fine with it. It doesn't degrade itself by accepting others, it is enlightening itself by learning more things exist outside of what they knew and that's ok. It's only taboo because it's been forced to be hidden until now.

its glorification of self destructive behavior is my main concern. and that affects all groups. but it does affect certain minority groups more, and if we care about these gruops and accept them we shouldn't want them doing those, im not saying restrict them like thre kid s

Our society is increasingly being controlled by both (A The Media and (B The Government these two thins are proven to cause more depression and self destructive behavior. I'm not saying everyone who listen to cardi b but its more deep level dude. Like how the media is causing racial tension, and generational tension.

Celebrities are seen as "cool" but also the behavior they do is seen as bad and socially unacceptable. We live in a bipolar paradox constantly that accepts and judges certain things. And they may be good or bad but we dont heave a healthy consistent view. Its all bombard by cultural drama.

This has been the norm forever. The rich and powerful flaunt what they have and the masses either fall in line so that they can get a small piece of it or they are left out hungry and ostracized. Those who control print have always been able to control the flow of news. Go look up older newspapers and other forms of print that targeted things like immigration issues for examples. Celebrity culture has been around forever as well, but really took off when films became a thing. Prior to that it was radio hosts and shows that were picked up and delivered directly into homes.

The only thing different between then and now is the speed in which it happens. We have news at the tip of our fingers. More and more, people are trying to get their 15 minutes of fame on social media by performing more and more outrageous acts to get noticed. Our voices and thoughts on all of these can be shared within moments compared to how it was 100 years ago.

I agree with you but that doesn't mean what they do is right. Humans have always been sheep. We need. to think for ourselves before it's to late

It's different for sure. For those who are used to specific traditional values it really can be terrifying but for others who are more go with the flow, it isn't any worse than some other things.

I'm used to contemporary society actually. I'm not scared of new things just destructive trends like how the black community struggles with youth having toxic influences in the youth culture through drill music painting a fake illusion view of the struggle.

It has been for a long time. People have done a lot of stupidity in the name of liberation and "open-mindedness". When the individuals don't learn to value society, personal convenience takes the priority over social welfare. A lot of personal choices we make affects society and we don't want to admit. When someone keeps spreading their legs solely for pleasure, someone has to take care of the happy accidents that ensue. When someone eats unhealthy amounts of food, your family gets to suffer as well. People are slowly starting to take pride in such decisions in the name of individual freedom without any concerns of the risks it involves.

Of course it is. This is exactly what you get when you reject any moral and spiritual values and toss God out of your life because He has become inconvenient for you.
