Because it doesn’t surprise me. It’s shit like this that always has me concerned when dealing with the cops. This is why I get pissed off when I’m told to trust the cops. The only part of this that surprised me, is the dude was arrested. Usually it’s a he said she said situation, and without massive evidence, the cops won’t arrest their own.  And no @girlsaskguys this is a topic relevant to society, not sexuality. So don’t put this in sexuality. I have it here for a reason.

I mean, your case is a clear example of your personal experience/observations causing you to believe something that isn’t true GENERALLY speaking.

If I type in on Google, “cop sexual assaults person” do you know how many articles I’ll find of this happening?

Now, of course that’s not enough to say that ALL of these instances are true, but it CAN paint a picture that this is a problem among cops when it is not.

Now, if you’re a liberal type, anti-cop/government, then you’ll be MORE inclined to NOT believe me even though I think I’m being fair and reasonable.

Even though I’m right on a statistical base.

MOST people MOST of the time interacting with cops have positive things to say about that.

This is backed up by data and surveys.

It’s okay to distrust cops, lots do.
Just understand, they’re human and they’re individuals.

You shouldn’t approach each individual black person you meet the same way, just like you shouldn’t Asian, white, etc.

Same thing applies to cops, lawyers, and soldiers especially.

Actually, do you know how many dickhead soldiers I’ve met/worked with?

If the public had these individuals as the face of the Army

In other words, you’ll ALWAYS feel negativity towards cops no matter what i or anyone says.

Of course this is intolerable, but it isn't the norm, either.

I have been falsely arrested by a police officer who filed a false report, claiming that I "confessed" to domestic violence but the body cam video clearly showed that I never confessed (because I never did anything that was domestic violence. My girlfriend was drunk, fell and hit her head, started bleeding, and then blamed me.) I have every reason to be sensitive to rogue cops who don't follow the rules, but I still believe that most cops are good people trying to do their job the right way.

'Black Lives Matter's shouldn't be a thing because we kill each other too.

Speaking in generally, I honestly do not care who gets arrested, who gets killed, who gets imprisoned or who has their charges dropped. It doesn't concern me nor should it.

Just let the world run its course. Just let society be society. As long as you weren't in it, you shouldn't be concerned because it doesn't involves you. If it has something to do with your race, again, it doesn't concern you. Like it doesn't concern me.

Yikes that hit here in my home. Yes there are many bad cops out there. My uncle and my cousins are cops. They are good people but i hold anyone and everyone to a standard that demands their service to the people. They are suppose to represent the good in society and when a bad cop is brought to light it angers me. I frankly trust no one and i keep my eyes on people like cops to make sure my rights are not violated. Other than that i do not go out of my way to hate them either. I know what they go through and there is a lot that must be done in our police force to fix it. On a lighter not i always wanted to date a cop only because they are already got the handcuffs. 😜

A man should never use his power to force agirl to give him sex, this is weird and not normal at all!

If he wants sex, he can get to know the girl, date her than marry her and he will have sex with her as much as he wants or if he doesn't wants to get married their are plenty of girls who are willing to do it for free as a one night stand or ho*e that will get paid for their services... etc

It's just weird and disrespectful to committ such acts!

Not surprised at all, we have a shit load of stories here of police using their Social Power to manipulate women for sex or failing that rape them.

the most common and often not reported as much is police going back to victims and playing off their emotions for sex.

there have been a run of those over last year or so, while they get a discharge etc, it’s technically often not rape, even though at an emotional level it is.

So this isn't really a matter of an on-duty police officer committing a crime in his capacity as a cop. It's a guy, who happens to be a cop, who was hired for security purposes and in his role as security, sexually assaulted someone. Just wanted to be clear about this. The crime is not any more or less "severe" because of his profession, it just carries a greater shock value. If a random guy and a priest sexually molest a child, it's more heinous to the public eye because one guy is a trusted representative of God, so to speak. But the crime is the same.

The fucking corruption done in plain sight in front of us is so sicking! I really hope they pass that George Floyd Bill and destroy that abomination of Qualified Immunity! This is nothing new we had this late friend of the family once told my late mom that she was taken by 2 of our retired police officers to this place and raped but no one was believing her story so she had no rights to have criminal charges brought against them
